I'm not going to be a part of this in person, sadly, as I really want to, but I'd suggest not that much complicated, hard to organize/jam on Wilco, like Hummingbird, Muzzle Of Bees, Pot Kettle Black, and Hell Is Chrome. Definitely have I Got You and Hotel Arizona. Hate It Here would ROCK. So would I'm a Wheel.

My friend has always been into Wilco. I absolutely hated them at first. He had me me listen to a few songs, and I just couldn't stand them. I think I was given aGiB for my birthday two years ago, and I was going to shitcan it, but I decided to listen to it before hand. I fell in love with it and listened to it intimately. I slowly got into everything else they put out, and enjoyed them more and more, especially with the current lineup. I've been thinking about a new amp too. Something louder than my 20w Mesa/Boogie Subway Blues, that can crank out distortion that's not too, well... Bluesy. It would also need to have good cleans and it shouldn't distort too soon, because I use clean just as much as dirty. Maybe I'm aiming too high?

How does the Deville sound? I have a Mesa/Boogie Subway Blues (20w) and love it, but I need something bigger for gigging.

On the subject of so called "freak outs", when I listen to aGiB, it seems there's just as many freak outs as on SBS. It's like some Wilco fans are afraid of guitar solos or something.
