Snagged a ticket to see her here in Minneapolis at the McGuire Theater. I've never been but it seems to be part of the Walker and a pretty intimate looking venue!

I noticed you can request Barnyard Pimp and several others (maybe all of them) from the Wilco book but not Dark Neon from the last release. Interesting.

Nice to see Jeff is singing Jesus, Etc. again

I don't care if someone tweets during a show. I wouldn't do it myself, but honestly, this is a lot more discreet than talking, snapping photos, taking video, etc. I'm actually grateful that someone would take the time to do this for a show I can't make. Sure it takes away from their experience, but it's their experience. I'll be focused in on the performance in Minneapolis, but if someone a row over from me is tapping a song title into their phone at the start of a number, I won't give a shit, because I won't notice them.

I love when the chugging guitar cuts in around 1:42

What does it for me is how well all the layers fit together. WTA had a lot of pretty little flourishes here and there but on this record they seem more, purposeful? This one creates a distinct atmosphere around some great tunes! Excited to take another listen with a couple beers tonight.

Capitol City is fantastic.

Almost expecting to hear "Oooooh yes!" right after I Might. Nice to hear Sunloathe. I love their label.

Correct. An hour and a half exactly now!

Would be much obliged if you could help us moderators out this weekend by following two simple requests:
a.) Though we are not officially affliated with the Wilcos, we do keep the band's wishes in mind with our rules and regulations, so I ask please no direct download links to rips of the stream. You can share it via PM, you can direct people to a blog where it is, but any posting of megaupload, mediafire, rapidshare, sendspace, etc. links are prohibited by board policy.
b.) Argue as much as you want with the opinion, but try to be as respectful as possible to the person who has the opinion.
Thank you kindly for keeping these things in mind. The debut stream of a new record is one of the best times to be a fan of Wilco, enjoy the hell out of it.

2 Minneapolis dates! And a stream tomorrow. This is a great Friday.

3rd time through. It's really incredible how much difference is made by listening to this thing through some headphones. I listened today at work and thought it was pretty great, but I've gained a whole new appreciation for the fuzz, dance-y guitarwork, and string swells in these tracks.

Should I know who these bands are?
Only if you want to.

so the new M83 and St Vincent have leaked and they release in October...what's Wilco's excuse!?
Actually the St. Vincent record is due out the 13th of this month. But I feel ya. I imagine we'll have something once we're roughly 2 weeks away from the release date.

Wow. This is fantastic.

C'mon Minneapolis/St. Paul! Hoping it's the first post-Madison date.

EDIT: This thing is great.

*break downnnnnnnnnnnn. Nooo! Sea what eye mean?

It's listed in the tracklisting on Wilcoworld as "Whole Love". I just listened again to that Solid Sound version...love it.
Whoops! Totally overlooked that. I've gone over the tracklist so many times too. I think my brain is beginning to brake down from the anticipation.

I seem to remember hearing a track called "Whole Love" on a recording from this year's Solid Sound (day 1). I wonder if this one didn't make the cut for the record or whether it just goes by a different name now?

Where's Panther when you need him? Or that Abba guy?

I'm hoping they play Unlikely Japan in Minneapolis.
