I think I'm almost as excited for the drawing as I am the music.

I'm 20 years old and have been a big Wilco fan for roughly 3 or 4 years. Having said that, it certainly took some time for me to really wrap my head around the music. Slowly but surely a lot of my friends (same age) have grown to love Wilco as well. Most of us agree that Wilco is an "important" band too. Maybe just for us but I think most would agree in some way that this band made as brilliant and as smooth a transition into the the "technology-aided music age" (if you will) as anyone could have hoped for. I believe around the time Kid A and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot came out there was an evolution of some sort, the details of which are still playing out. Something to do with all that "noise" . But I think this may play a part in whether or not today's youth (17 and younger? Sheesh I'm only 20.) can really dig Wilco. They have grown up knowing nothing but this genre-bending rock, yet at the turn of the century this was still a pretty exciting idea.

Happy listening, everyone. It's so terrific that not only do Wilco treat us to live webcasts, but they then share them again in the roadcase so that more people get to hear them. to the hardworking people behind these gifts.
Those of you sharing these streams, please be sure to clearly mark that the source is a stream from the Roadcase, so as to clarify that it is a lesser-quality recording (Not, for example, high-quality mp3's such as the downloads to help Haiti that the band made available from the site.) Some listeners won't care, but others would want to know. Streaming, by its nature, is a more lossy format.
Enjoy the Boston webcast. Concord will be up later in the week, so anyone who had trouble with the connection the night of the webcast will still get a chance to hear this fantastic show!

Probably sendspace or mediafire?
Awesome! I'd echo this.

Anyone else feel like they were at a Wilco show last night? I've got brain fuzz from 5 beers last night and hoodoo voodoo on a loop in my head. It's a great morning!
I had the same story the night of the boston webcast. I was rocking up in my loft (not to be confused with THE loft)

The intro here has to be one of my favorites ever for this song. The back and forth with the guitar and gong was just perfect. This is another great one.
-
Yeahh this song is bouncin!
-
Ah yes. Summerteeth.

Just got back into the roadcase but no sound. Haven't heard a second of this one yet! Nothing to do but wait I suppose.
-
I need more! A tambourine? Ok no...no. Its over. Woah. Goodnight all. It has been fun.

I've never been so excited for a webcast as I am for tomorrow night. Maybe it's the "Evening with Wilco" atmosphere.
Well shit. You don't see me now-ow-ow!
-
Absolutely. Encore! (And here they come). This has been so great. Keep it coming Wilco. Very happy they're doing this again tomorrow. Anyone know of a tasty Minnesota microbrew I could find in Minneapolis tomorrow night? I live in the cities but always searching. Thanks again VC for sharing in this! Awesome.

The future! 2010! Hah. But in all seriousness. This is pretty cool. Sitting in Minneapolis, listening to a Wilco show in real time while chatting about the show with fans from across the country. I think we sometimes take for granted how excellent these streams are. Especially noteworthy since this one has been flawless for me.

Say what you will about Walken. This baby comes alive...live.

I'm bringing the laptop along on the pee breaks so I don't have to worry. Aaaaaaaand that is enough mentions of the words "pee break" for me tonight!
I'M WORRIED CAUSE I'M ALWAYS IN LOOOOVE!
-
Oh! Pee break!
Hate it Here is so much fun. But yes. Quickly! :dancing

The sound is really great.

This show has been fantastic so far. First time the stream has been basically flawless for me. Sitting around the speakers with the whole band listening and having some beers. This is just wonderful.
