isnt tonight the boys' first show since word got out about jay's passing? im really hoping we'll hear something from them tonight.

i slept so sad last night. cant even imagine how his family, friends, and biggest fans are doing. my heart goes out to you all. that is one of the sweetest things ive ever heard. and very jay. im really hoping people will not only remember the side of jay that is now immortalized in IATTBYH (the movie), but this side as well.

i am stunned. i got into wilco pretty late... a little bit after ghost was released. however, when i heard YHF, thats when i was sold and there was no turning back. my two favorite wilco records are YHF and BT. BY FAR. jay's contributions have been discussed for ages, but no matter how you slice it; these records could not have attained close to the level of greatness that they achieved without jay. his melodies just touch your heart, man. i'm pretty open about the fact that jay really annoyed me sometimes personally... but musically (which is all that really matters on this messageboard)

if i remember correctly, when SBS was going to be released they streamed it multiple times (the 12 or 24 hour streams they did). im betting theyll put it up again before june 12th. still... i dont know how much longer i can go w/o listen to country disappeared...

the songs are up on youtube if youre jonesin for a fix like the rest of us. EDIT: make that SOME of the songs are up on youtube. oh shit.

yeah i was at that show. easily the best night of my life. my first and only wilco show ever (partly because i live in miami and partly because i was 5 or 6 yrs old when AM came out). but my best friend and i have been planning a cross country road trip for when we graduate from college in a couple of years... and we just had the brilliant idea to possibly shadow wilco (whom i brainwashed her into loving) on it. *mr. burns voice* EEEEXCELLENT.

you check their tour dates EVERY DAMN DAY when you wake up... and curse the fact that you live in miami, florida EVERY DAMN DAY.

they also wrote a blurb about the "jolly banker" cover and they mention them in the recession songs article.

when i listened to the record i knew i would know "one wing", ""sonny feeling", "you and i", and "i'll fight" from wilco performances and solo jeff performances that ive seen on youtube... but i have NO IDEA where the hell i heard "country disappeared" and it's driving me nuts for some reason. i tried looking up performances of it on wilcobase but didnt find anything. can you guys list anywhere that you remember they might have done this song? i would really appreciate it! im in love with this record. even more than i thought i would be.

aww man... i feel like a total jerk for laughing at that... this whole situation just really sucks. jay has always irritated me on some level but there is no way around the fact that he helped make my 2 favorite wilco albums (YHF and being there) the masterpieces that they are.

DAMN. Just a little under 2 months and we would have gotten to a wilco record release drama-free.

i bought it on ebay for 8 bucks. i definitely loved it and i'd recommend it but definitely NOT for 50 bucks. obviously.

another reason why i need to get the fuck out of florida.

the only down side to that show was that it reminded me how i sad i am about not being able to make it to a show this tour.
