thats an awesome story. when sky blue sky came out i bought it at starbucks because thats the only place i could get it that day. then i went to specs the next week and found the one with the shake it off dvd. i was pissed, but at the time i had a good bit of money so i decided that i'd buy the cd/dvd anyway. i walked up to the cashier and told him to take my sky blue sky dvd because wilco was fantastic and i didnt want the cd to just sit around at my house. i share wilco with whoever i can... theyre just the best of our time, man.

thank you! ive been looking for this for ages as big a conan fan as i am a wilco fan (hence the display name). conan introduced me to wilco as well. it all comes together.

i think it was at a farm aid show (but im not totally sure) that someone asked jeff why they named themselves wilco... the interviewer knew that it meant "will comply" but he didnt get the joke. jeff said that he thought it was really funny for a rock band to be named "will comply". haha... the audience laughed and the interviewer was like "well NOW we think it's funny!" haha.

i loved on and on and on when i first got the record but it kind of faded. then i saw them do it on austin city limits. i was kinda dreading the performance because i thought it would be a bad closer... and it ended up moving me to tears. sad story, too.
