Haha, that is indeed strange

So, I took this to mean that the shows they filmed a few years back (that turned into the Kicking Television album) are still out there and ready for potential use. Am I alone in that interpretation?

My understanding is that they were going to release a DVD with that footage but decided not to, so that sounds about right.

Going to SoCal this summer, maybe pittsburgh too.

I have always operated under the assumption that Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, etc are fully aware that they get more viewers, more attention, and more money every time they say controversial things that piss people off. The only time I hear about these people is when people complain about them...but that means whatever they are doing is working, since I hear about them all the time. I can't imagine getting pissed off at anything they say, since I know that part of their intended effect is to piss people off. Rush Limbaugh could say Obama was Satan reborn for all I care.

 

Just ignore them as best as you can. Anything else is exactly what they want.

People take him seriously though. That is the problem.

I have no idea, I listen to all of them about equally, though I probably listen to AM and SBS a little less than the others. Not because I don't like them, but the other albums are better I guess.

Oh why can't it be June already

It gave me goosebumps when I saw them play it on Colbert for the first time.

I have Wild Mountain Nation and Furr, which are both pretty good. I haven't heard their debut though.

I don't think he would want to, he was on pretty bad terms with Bragg and Farrar so I wouldn't be surprised if he just didn't feel like singing their songs. But I'm pretty sure Wilco has played Walt Whitman's Niece a few times before.

I was going to say they've hit a new low, until I came to the sad realization that this isn't even close.

Honestly I don't like listening to What Light on its own, but I think it fits together nicely on Sky Blue Sky. When you listen to it while listening to the entire album, it's a great song.

I like A.M. and I like Heavy Metal Drummer. I must not be a true Wilco fan.

That's awesome! It's such a great song.

First I have to say that numbers 1 and 6 were very painful to do, because it meant that At Least That's What You Said and Handshake Drugs had to be left off, which are two of my all-time favorite Wilco tracks.

Never heard of them but for $15 you can't go wrong. Plus they fly to Frankfurt and I'm pretty sure you can get a connecting flight from there on one of the European airlines for pretty cheap.
