Technically both parts could fit on one disc, so how would we narrow it down?
-
I don't know why he can't give the extra content to the owners of the owners of the DVD and CD. I don't know if the Blu-ray version is worth it when I already own about 60% of the recordings on CD.

It's quite a project, that's for sure.

There's also a 3rd option which is the rarities album. They were pretty popular in the 90s, since there was no internet to distribute b-sides, but now I don't know what would really be the point. Also unlike say, The Smashing Pumpkins Pisces Iscariot, where all of the songs came from the sessions of 2 stylistically similar albums, produced by the same producer, using most of the same gear, a Wilco equivalent would have all sorts of songs that would have different band members, be recorded on analog and digital mediums etc etc. Unless you went back and remixed all the songs, it'd be a very scatter shot confused listening experience.
I like the idea of a having a rarities disc too. They have so many b-sides and unreleased stuff that is just as good as the stuff that they've released I wouldn't mind seeing it come out on a single or even double album.

I'd be down with that.

I think that they're fantastic. You really do need to listen to Aeroplane a few times to realize its true greatness though. But once you 'get' it, it's easily one of the top five records of the 90s.

He is uninspired.
I think he is definitely inspired. He's just taking this Linc-volt project too far. I would have been fine with just a documentary.

I've yet to listen to this entire album, but after trying to listen to Chrome Dreams II, Living w/War I can only imagine how awful this is. It makes me think less of Neil and I consider myself a pretty hardcore fan. Crap is crap and record companies do not have to appease him just because he is Neil Young. And whoever drew a link between Tonights the Night and its initial critical response vs. Fork In The Road, cmon!
Chrome Dreams II and Living with War were decent records in my opinion.
I was just joking about the TTN response though This record is pretty bad for the most part.

It's like a giant birthday party.

Of course not.
If anything, AGIB is better than YHF.
-
i know. what a crock of crap this is.
That's what people said when Tonight's the Night came out
But seriously, I don't think this album will age very well. For what it is though it's a good record.

I hate you

I don't know about a specific part, but the first time I heard the Kicking Television version of One by One it completely blew me away.
-
I would really like to see the Hold Steady sometime. Sounds like they were awesome there.

Wilco The Album has been taken already I'm going with, Wilco, The Album

Their Wilco list was rubbish.

"Hello, Fuckers"
We have a winner.

I got mine yesterday as well (25/108). The packaging is great and the Nels track is really nice.

I support this. It's going to be incredibly hard once they start streaming it though.
