Probably the worst thing Oberst ever released. This includes early emofolk recordings.

I don't know any SY fans who prefer RR over Sonic Nurse, really. RR is not bad per se but kinda shallow.

Wilco is the kind of mature rock act that Rolling Stone likes no matter the actual quality of the release though.

I'd say it's better than rather ripped (but that wasn't their most consistent effort) & about as good as Murray Street. The Nurse still dominates SY's '00 though.

Just try to avoid a 1000 leaves & Experimental Jet Set and you should be set. Imo, concerning the Jim o'Rourke period: Sonic Nurse > Murray Street. Both are excellent though.

Not really digging it that much either. Of all Dylan's 'classics' this is easily my least favorite.

Nah, it's easily SY's most underrated record and a huge step forward after the aimlessly meandering A thousand leaves. Everyone who thinks NYC ghosts & flowers sucks is Pitchforks bitch. Though I have to admit Murray Street & Sonic Nurse easily rank among their all time best material. I guess O'rourke does make things better.

I hate it. Then again, Summerteeth is probably my least favorite Wilco recording. I dig One Wing though.

To me it's only use in the context of the CD seems to be making 'On and On and On' an even more magnificent closer.

It's not that good, isn't it? Glossy production doesn't save sloppy songwriting.

What Light is pretty bad indeed though, but I never felt it was higly rated.
