Or was it HBO Video Jukebox?
-
Way back when - that version of Tangled Up in Blue use to be shown on VH1 I think it was -
-
Mariska Veres and Bob - there's an idea.
-
That live version on that 70 album is epic. I guess there is a re-release that has more stuff on it. The version I have is an original pressing that someone gave me a long time ago.
-
It was a Top of The Pops deal I think. Rod Stewart and Gary Glitter showed up at the end. Rod and Elton are long time friends of course.
One of my favorite EJ songs is Madman Across The Water.
-
The only EJ I really own is that live album - 17-11-70. I am familiar with most of the others from the early 70s.
-
I was watching a EJ Christmas Special from 1974 the other day. Was there anything like that in the film?
-
I suppose it has been talked about to death. But i still don't know why they got that guy in the band.

On Aug. 24, Nels Cline (Wilco), Scott Metzger (JRAD, Wolf!), Vernon Reid (Living Color) and Joel Harrison will assemble as the Alternative Guitar Summit in Woodstock, NY for a celebration of 50 years of the Woodstock Festival.
The gig will take place at the town’s Colony club, and it appears to be a repeat of the band’s March 2019 Alternative Guitar Summit at NYC’s (Le) Poisson Rouge.
“For countless guitarists Woodstock was a life-changing experience,” reads the show description. “Now fifty years later AGS brings together some of our era’s most singular improvising guitarists to seek new vistas with this powerful, epochal music.”
The August show will see Cline performing the music of Santana, Metzger performing The Who, Reid paying tribute to Sly Stone, CSNY, and Jimi Hendrix and Joel Harrison and Grateful Havens performing the music of Richie Havens and the Grateful Dead.

I still have Winamp.

I long time ago when I was young - ha ha ha - I loved those sorts of movies. Now I can not stand them.
-
They just put up a graphic on their FB page that announces "The Joshua Tree Tour 2019". That is somewhat surprising.
-
I think that might have been one of the last cassettes I ever bought. I have not listened to that album in years. Strange Currencies I could probably still listen to -

Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux introduces the new Grateful Dead live performance upload series "All The Years Live", which will feature new uploads each Thursday at 8AM Pacific. Watch the first video -- Morning Dew (Winterland 10/18/74) -- here http://bit.ly/MorningDewWinterland74

I see they are releasing a live album. I guess it is for members of their U2 fan club/ticket thing.

Had free HBO this past weekend:
Deadpool 2- ok I guess
True Detective 3 - editing was the best part I thought
Curb Your Enthusiasm 9 - funniest thing to me was the episode "Never Wait For Seconds"
I wish I had watched Super Troopers 2.

Sugar Magnolia is a great song of joy. I liked it even when I did not listen to the GD.
-
I've seen photos of him wearing GD shirts. And I am not sure I believe that is a Hendrix guitar. I've never heard of him owning a Hendrix guitar before.
-
I don't believe at least two things I read in that article.

If you people are talking about the May 1 2003 show - it is had been circulating for years. It was one of the first shows I was sent a long time ago I think. You can find it at The Wilco Live Show Archive.
-
Sorry for the size. Notice Jeff Tweedy between Jeff Glor and Elizabeth Warren.
She is going to break up Wilco and Son Volt. And then make then re-form Uncle Tupelo.
-
I have some Faces shows from that same place.

There's even another version on the album Real Live (1984). I have not heard that album in years.
