Once there was a shock that left behind a long, shimmering comet tail. It keeps us inside. It makes the TV pictures snowy. It settles in cold drops on the telephone wires. One can still go slowly on skis in the winter sun through brush where a few leaves hang on. They resemble pages torn from old telephone directories. Names swallowed by the cold. It is still beautiful to hear the heart beat but often the shadow seems more real than the body. The samurai looks insignificant beside his armor of black dragon scales. There is unknown dust that is near us Waves breaking on shores

I figure the majority of folks will want this in Mp3.

Ok - I just spent a couple of hours on this - I have 13 tracks from the following shows: 7/01/05, 7/13/05, 11/13/05, 11/18/05, 6/21/03, 6/6/04, 6/26/05. Note - I did not include any talk of the abyss or whatever - I find it to personal - if you want that on there - you will have to submit it. If anyone has any tracks they want to be on this project I suggest you send them as Mp3 files to me or Mr. whatdisay. I would prefer you name the tracks as: Wilco (or Jeff Tweedy)_7_09_06 (example). I think we should do it this way, and then have a Micorsoft Word file that will list all the tracks,

Ok I started to last weekend - but did not mess with it. Too bad there is no (that I know of) tape of the Albany solo show - Jeff and some pressed slacks wearing dude traded banter back and forth for several minutes.

I take it you have never got an invite to that one place.

I'm not sure I care for the production style of him, Don Was, or Kevin Shirley - but that is a great song. You're kidding right? I know many professors who are married to students. -

I have an idea for a show like that - leave a group of people on a island for a number of years - and see what happens. -

Over my head, I see the bronze butterfly, Asleep on the black trunk, blowing like a leaf in green shadow. Down the ravine behind the empty house, The cowbells follow one another Into the distances of the afternoon. To my right, In a field of sunlight between two pines, The droppings of last year's horses Blaze up into golden stones. I lean back, as the evening darkens and comes on. A chicken hawk floats over, looking for home. I have wasted my life. -

The continent of Atlantis was an island which lay before the great flood in the area we now call the Atlantic Ocean. So great an area of land, that from her western shores those beautiful sailors journeyed to the South and the North Americas with ease, in their ships with painted sails. -
