  1. Has anyone seen the collection of global short films called alternately "11'9"01" or just "September 11" Link?

I was in NYC with my dad about a year and a half after 9/11 and saw this at a cinema there in the village and was absolutely blown away by how good it was. It's a bunch of different (global, one American) film-maker's responses to 9/11, and while one or two is a little hit or miss, and certainly contreversial, it's all and all really powerful and thought provoking. Just wondering if anyone else had seen it and/or what they thought of it?

  2. what's the difference between Apocalypse Now and Apocalypse Now Redux?

Redux is much longer, I actually saw it in a theater in Boston when it was re-released, I'm a big fan of the Redux, but each has its merits...since it's a pretty long movie to begin with.

  3. in other news-- i will be seeing apocolypse (sp) now next week for the first time & i am not a fan of war movies.

One of my all time favorite movies. You definitely don't have to be a fan of war movies, as much as a fan of messed up psychological movies or Heart of Darkness.

  4. "canyon arrow"...definitely different from any other AD song i've heard. i don't remember hearing it live, though i haven't seen them since the june schuba's show.

    cool album cover!

    thoughts?

    :cheers

Yeah, Canyon Arrow is definitely different, but certainly fits in right with their style. In the Winterlight is a little more standard for them, but still enjoying them both. Initially maybe not as much as my favorite tracks off of Circles, but you know, it's only two songs, and the album art looks cool.

Adding this to the long list of things to get....
