First of all good for you Jeff. I was at the Fort Worth show a few nights ago and based upon this incident have to share what happened at the show. Band comes out for second encore and Jeff says this Tweedy before launcing into Let's Not Get Carried Away. He sings the song at this woman and gives her the finger on the line "you would ruin it." I was five rows behind this lady to the right and the whole thing was hiliarious. Nobody got near the stage, their was an empty orchestra pit end between the stage and the band. Jeff was fucking around with her and she was cracking up as was e

Here or here. Wilco alum Bennett comes out of dark time, solo and at peace By Kevin C. Johnson POST-DISPATCH POP MUSIC CRITIC 10/17/2006 Multi-instrumentalist Jay Bennett's bad times in recent years extend way beyond his famous exit from rock band Wilco during its "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" period, which was uncomfortably documented in the 2002 film "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart." Bennett and Wilco's Jeff Tweedy were filmed getting into it, culminating with the exit door permanently swinging open for Bennett. His departure led to a solo career that includes a few under-the-radar CDs

The comments do come before LNGCA. Enjoy. It was a great show to be at and the recording is spectacular.

I don't know but I just got the etree one and it sounds amazing. The guy was four rows in front of me an the sound is fantastic.

I was about five rows back from here and to the right. Jeff was just busting her chops, she was cracking up the whole time. Here is another photo for your enjoyment. From At Least That's What You Said

Thank you DrNo. Here are a couple of photos. The second is Jeff explaining why we must scream during Kingpin.

Just returned. Thought I would offer up a few highlights. First off, saw one taper, he said he would have the show on etree in a few days. Opened with Airline to Heaven. Got my two favorites, Poor Places and Jesus, Etc, which Jeff prefaced with, "Ain't to proud to beg, but this song sounds great when you sing along." New songs, Impossible Germany, so much better live, Walken, fucking great, and Let's Not Get Carried Away, extended drum solo, with a false ending that had Nels and Jeff cracking up. Two encores, second was Let's Not Get Carried Away and Kingpin. Before Let's Not Get Ca

Here is the site He Died So that We May Live How Nels Cline Saved the Guitar BY BRIAN SMITH The fact that Nels Cline ended up joining Wilco has got to give you hope. Some things do work out. Some things can be good. Just thank god no one ever told Cline that guitar-based rock is "dead." First appearing on a recorded format in 1978 (three tracks on Vinny Golia's Openhearted LP), it wasn't until the early '90s that Cline began to blow things up. The Nels Cline Trio started to make small but noteworthy waves beginning in 1990, with the release of their Silencer CD. By the mid '90s, Cline

Anybody know anything about these guys? This is about the only thing I could find. From the NashvilleScene.com Local boys ALTERED STATESMEN will open the first 10 dates of the upcoming WILCO tour starting in Huntsville, Ala. JUSTIN EARLE brought JOHN STIRRATT and PAT SANSONE (of Wilco and AUTUMN DEFENSE) to the Oppenheimer show at The Basement a few weeks back, where Altered Statesmen impressed with their honey-smooth soul. There is a free three part podcast on iTunes discussing the new album. It is very interesting. They talk about and listen to tracks on the album as well as some of the stuff they left off. They also discuss what they ate for dinner while recording some of the songs.

Thanks, I just bought four new records in the last two weeks and now I have to get this. I fucking love this band.

I agree. I don't have a lot of the Will Johnson ouevre, but All the Falsest is a great rockin' album.

You can get a bunch of his stuff, mostly the Tomato Records, through his website. Townes Van Zandt I ordered the Live in Amsterdam VHS from there years ago and got a free copy of Rear View Mirror as a bonus and a hand written note from his wife, Jeanene. Looks like they still do the RVM freebie, but it is the cassette now. Oh and Tecumseh Valley is my favorite by far. " So she turned to whoring out on the streets with all the lust inside her." Everytime I hear it it is like getting hit in the stomach.

I don't know anyone who has seen them. Seems that everyone who gets "investigated" never returns. I'm at home and I am a little nervous talking about it now. As far as pants, that is why I have always wanted some of the fancy pants that basketball players wear that pull off in one motion. It's like pearl snaps on your pants. Bam ready for action!

I teach pre-k, so although I appreciate the advice, I do not think it would work so well with four year olds, as even the most advanced sometimes can't get their pants undone to go to the bathroom. I am also thwarted by the IT nazis in my district. In addition to a stiff firewall that probably blocks wilco's website, they monitor every computer everyday and I am guessing that a transaction would set off alarms very quickly and I would get a visit from OSI (Office of Special Investigations). Fortunately I have a friend, that I trust, who doesn't really have a job and I am going to give her

I ride my bike up Cedar Hill on a fairly regular basis. I think giddy is the best way to describe my feelings. I sat on the first row at Will Rogers for a Phish show in 96. Absolute fluke, got tickets the day of the show. I am jacked about the show, but the presale starts at ten and I teach. That is a prbolem.
-
I have been to shows at Will Rogers in Fort Worth and they were seated, but that wasn't Wilco and it was a long time ago. Great venue though. I could ride my bike there. I am just a little excited.

You are a kind soul. Thank you very much.
