insanity. i'm watching it one more time this weekend before i send it back to netflix.

I for one, am not at all bothered by your (mildly shameless) self-promotions, but why don't you just create one thread about yourself and just keep posting everything within it, rather than continuously start a new thread?

i just find it fun bustin' your balls p-todd, but that right there is a great idea. or maybe the mods can make whole section dedicated to all things you w/ a catchy wilco song title tie-in?

one of the most stellar examples of the now defunt 'variety show'. not only was his show great, but the dean martin celebrity roasts are worth getting on DVD as well.

season 2's main problem was that it was cut off at the knees due t the strike and you had little payoff for everything they were setting up. one could argue that is almost too much payoff every episode in this season...me, i'm lovin' it. i thinki t actually has even more of a comic book feel to it and maybe that's why it is turnign some people off. who knows.

i don't know about anybody else, but i'm a little confused about all the bad press the show is getting so far this season. personally, i'm still enjoying the hell out of it...but since ratings are down, every entertainment rag is saying the shark has been jumped.

 

i just read over the weekend that Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander were fired. WTF? firing Loeb? i just can't see that actually helping anything...i see it making things worse.

last night, again, was great. why is everybody saying something is wrong with it?!

Jesus Christ! this thread may be the best of the day, but damn it's like the playground in 2nd grade when some kid doesn't now what the middle finger means and the rest of the kids give 'em shit about it all day. the punchline is that nobody knows what the finger means. just like anyone can use the god damned phrase 'jump the shark' any way just to make a point. it has, but it's been a long while. that thing is a great read.

no shit, tully. you know, not that anybody here would be aware of any such place to do so, but i really wish there was a more cost-effective way to catch up w/ some of these episodes online.

also, while we're discussing other UK TV shows...did anybody watch Primeval? kind of goofy, but a lot of fun. that show, i saw from start to the finish of season 2.

okay, it took me long enough, but i think i've finally become geeked out by the tennant run. the past few saturdays i've been catching up w/ older episodes via PBS and the start of season 4 on BBC America. phwor!

totally. that new one looks like garbage. the Thomas Jane movie, had enough good stuff in it, that I'd hoped he was going to star in a sequel. tough luck I guess.

i didn't really like the jane one either, but yeah...that new one looks really bad. shame too, i liked jigsaw in the actual comic.
