Anyone else catch him in Chicago last night? Absolutely fantastic. The man even came out and brought out some cups full of 151 for me and my friends. He made time to talk to everyone after the show too. Devendra gets an A+ in my book.

If you like "When The Going Gets Dark" you should really check out "Featuring Birds" and "The Sword of God". Quasi are one of my favorite bands. Coomes is so clever with his pessimism. Gotta love it. Also, this is one of the greatest album covers of all time.

I was backstage and got to see Kevin Barnes during his costume changes and it was so cute how he would run off, kiss his wife and girl, change in a few seconds into his next wild outfit, and come back to say hi to his daughter again. I can only imagine what her memories of daddy will be someday.

Devendra Banhart with Matteah Baim-Death's Groove (whatever that means) at the Portage Theater in Chicago on Sept 18. I have my tickets and you should get yours before the unwashed masses get in! Anyone else wanna buy a ton and take control of selling tickets for the event at inflated prices? I'm kidding, of course, that shit is illegal.
