  1. So I missed out listening the album, but people are already (as expected) putting it up on Pirate Bay. Yes, I downloaded it, but not really sure if this was a good move as far as ethics go. I've already bought the album twice (both prices over the initial price [special edition CD and Vinyl LP]), if that counts for anything. P.S. I'm loving this album!
  2. Just as Jeff Tweedy predicted!!!!!!!!
  3. Well the music scene has really picked up in the past 6 years. We just had the new artist "Washed Out" have his Album release party here, he's either somewhere else on the tour as of now or he's back in NYC. Also look up Tori Y Moi and a lesser known band named The Restoration. p.s. None of these bands sound like Wilco. p.s.s. God Damn Those Trains!!! I going to be an insomniac before I move out this town.
  4. it's not a surprise at all. I was just bringing attention to the little factoid of the beer being named WTF, but they used Wilco instead of Whiskey, in order to avoid confusion. Not because they're Wilco fans. oh, really? Well like I said, it caught the fans' eye.
  5. Whatever spreads the music. Don't really care much how. Also heard "Either Way" in my local indy theater. P.S. Have you ever been to Columbia, SC, and not just for a brief moment?
  6. It's funny how this beer has gotten the attention of the Wilco fans. Although, it's not a reference to YHF, someone should start naming beers after songs and bands to get attention.
  7. That's personal opinion and not established fact, no matter how much "(long) experience" you've had. It has to do with the personality of the listener. Many fans can be over-analytical or simply can't get enough of Wilco; I happen to be both. Don't forget, the material disclosed in the packaging doesn't have to be info on the recording process either. It can be artwork. My favorite example of this is the hidden booklet in Radiohead's album: Kid A.
  8. All "art fighting the evil corporation" naiveté aside, money make the world go round, and Jeff has kids to feed. The music is the most important aspect of it all, that goes without saying, but the entire appeal of buying the merchandise is for the sake of collection and showing everyone you're a fan of these wonderful artists. Playing a record is best when you can hold the case in your hands and explore pages containing info about the recording process, lyrics printed to give you a possible insight in the the creator's mind, and artwork to admire.
  9. Looking back now, I probably should have just pre-ordered the Deluxe CD and buy the LP from my local record store. Not only would it be slightly cheaper, but I would be supporting the much loved store.
  10. The Whole Love is now available for pre-order! If you've ordered, what did you buy? Here's what I got: and The Whole Love LP
  11. CD over MP3 anyday. Plus it's good for the sake of collecting.
  12. What are the bonus tracks? p.s. I'll have to get them via torrent, I bought the deluxe CD and Vinyl LP, I think I've flung enough money to deserve them.
  13. It's up now. Bought myself the deluxe CD and the LP.
  14. I heard it in my local Food Lion as well. (Columbia, SC)
  15. Heard it at my local Food Lion grocery store. Whoever makes grocery store mixes, he/she must like "One Wing"
  16. Speaking of new websites. Does anyone know when the preorder site for The Whole Love is going up today?
  17. The Wednesday night ones were easier to get than the Thursday ones. 4th row balcony? Did you get a box seat, the orchestra section, or what? What letter row did you get?
  18. I just got a new ticket today. 4th row. Almost got second row, but some Master Card Security bullshit thing gave me a hard time and it droped my ticket. Either way, this is a major improvement.
  19. Goddammit. I got Row L in The Cobb Center in Atlanta. Seat 122 Decent, but not the front section at all. I got a feeling that the front sections were never open to begin with. Might buy a second ticket tomorrow or Friday. Still deciding.
  20. The Atlanta show says there is a 4 ticket limit, before the tickets become void. That means I'm in the clear, right? One more question: Will Front Gate be jammed up a bit due to the traffic, or does frontgate have enough power to hold all the fans on their servers?
  21. What is the best option for front row? Front Gate? Venue Pre-Sale? General?
  22. Everyone keeps talking about how the presale tickets can be great or not so great. Hope I get good ones. Really trying to get front row (or 2nd and 3rd row) tickets, even if it means buying general tickets Friday, in addition to the presale.
  23. Someone check Wilco's Facebook page for info. Ask them about this presale date issue. I would myself, but I don't have access to Facebook at work.
  24. Thanks. Where will they appear? On wilcoworld.com or FrontGate? I assume FrontGate. If so, I don't see a ticket section on the site. Will the entire ticket purchasing option appear at 10, or is there a total different way going about this than I thought?
  25. So what's the deal? Is the presale starting today at 10, or is it tommorow? The Show list says today, but when you click on the show details, it says tomorrow. This is pretty much the case for every show on the list. It is crucial for me to know, because I'm taking my hour break from work early today to get better internet access at a coffee house. All for the presale tickets. Just so you know, I'm going to the Atlanta show, and the presale is 10:00am EST. The earliest ones don't start until 10:00 EST. So, the showtimes will show up then, assuming the presale is today and not tomorrow.
