    A Cherry Ghost
  1. I will be there sometime after work with a crew...probably not going to eat...just drink.
  2. Jim Ford is the shit....I need some more. I only have Harlan County and I've been listening to it for years....can't wait for this comp.
  3. Yeah see I was at that show....but I went to the RI Lupo's show which I think was 2 days before and that show IMO was way better...smaller venue, more intimate...by the time I got half way into the Boston show...I was like Ok. I had a much better time at the Solid Sound show....it was a shorter show but every song was high energy and rocking.
  4. I don't think any of those songs need to be skipped...maybe Hummingbird but other than that i'd be kind of disappointed if I didn't hear the rest. I also think..and I know I will get crap for this...that the last tour shows were way too long. I mean sure I love to hear so many songs but I think it takes a toll...on the fans and the band. I'd rather see a nice high energy 2+ hour show, if they played longer I probably wouldn't complain but I don't need it to be that long and some songs I just don't need to hear...maybe it was because I saw a few back to back shows also.
  5. Set looks amazing....If we get anything close to this in Boston I'll be happy. and Bull Black Nova should be played every night....but other than that I'll be happy not to hear any Wilco (TA) songs...I don't mind that album but it is not my favorite either.
  6. yeah I was kind of wondering that myself. I know my friends and I situation is already crazy. We have like 4 sets of tickets and some people who bought the tickets are not even sitting in their own seats...so we have to form groups and go in and then switch tickets. I imagine there is going to be a big line....I hope they have more than one window working.
  7. I doubt the bar will let you have an area..we just make that happen on our own!
  8. One of my favorite Wilco albums...some days I put it right behind YHF. I find myself listening to it again and again.
  9. Tweedy - met Tweedy twice...both times in Portland, ME....the first time it was his wife's anniversary and he had just got off his cell and he was like "sorry guys on the phone with the wife, it is our anniversary"...like he wa apologizing...super nice. Just such a normal guy...it was funny because we couldn't stop seeing the band...at one point they were all across the street and this was when AGIB came out and they were mocking Tweedy's Hummingbird dance moves...it was funny. Patterson Hood - multiple times....nicest guy you could ever meet. Goes out of his way to talk to you. Last year
  10. Cool...Tim is actually a friend of mine. Yeah and his Friday Atwood's shows are great. Yeah I was more thinking for beforehand....I didn't know they were only open that late. I have to work the next day and so do most of my friends (everyone is local) going so I'm not sure I'll be around for the post. If anything we might head back to the Somerville/Cambridge area but yeah Jacob's is a really cool place. Intermission is not bad...right down the road there are so places too...that area is also not the best for late night so I can see why Jacob's shuts down a little early.
  11. Thanks for posting...I've been in an obsessive Beatles mood lately...Just re-watched the Anthogy and some other Beatles movies. Great story!
  12. Who were you going to see at Toad? I go see music there all the time. Just to throw in my cents I wouldn't recommend The Intermission for a meetup. I've been there a bunch of times and it is not really a great atmosphere for a meetup..just my opinion. I'm going with about 10 people and we are going Jacob Wirths. Great beer selection, great food and abotu 5 minutes away. Here is the link http://www.jacobwirth.com/
  13. Loving this album after a few listens...can't wait to get it on vinyl...some of the more low key songs are really starting to hit me.
