  1. that's who they reminded me of too (TBLLT). You've made me sad to learn that the album isn't just as solid. The two singles are stucki n my head all day....
  2. ^^^My favorite GBV album of all-time. NP: Mono/Vinyl
  3. So what do you guys think about 'em? I think they're fucking great! I checked them out after p-fork reviewed their album. Anyone got the album or know of a place a lonely soul like myself may be able to find it? (wink-wink, nod-nod, say no more, right?) Check 'em out on myspace. Here's the video for We're from Barcelona
  4. Kinda reminds me of a more harder edged It's a Shame About Ray sound. I like them, but I need more time with them. His last solo album took some time for me to like as well.
  5. Click Listening to them now. Will give my opinion later.
  6. No, you won't be able to play those two games. The developer, Rare, is now owned by Microsoft which will not allow the license for the virtual console at this time. However, the Donkeykong game Rare developed will possibly be available. The Rare team has already stated that those two games won't be though! Plus, Ocarina and Majora's Mask were re-released/packaged with the Gamecube. The Wii is backwards compatable with the GC, so you may not even have to d/l it.
  7. Looks pretty cool, even though the name is dumb. One thing against it is that it's not going to have Perfect Dark or OO7 for the virtual cube-thingy. I would love to be able to play my friends across the world and beat their asses once again in these games.
  8. Down south it seems if you're not a republican, there's no way you'll win. The last time I voted in 2004, I didn't have a whole lot of choice: most were republicans running unopposed. Down here they're proud to be god-fearing white republicans and to hell with the rest.
  9. Isn't all music "emo" to a certain extent? People also credit Lou Barlow for being the father of emo as well. In the end it's one of those who the fuck cares scenerios. I mean, if you don't dig it musically - cool. I think more people are turned off by the public image of emo or the bands' looks. Musically, it great music for "girls suck" and all that love shit.
  10. C'mon now, all that "emo" shit isn't bad. I listened to that "shit" and I turned out alright. At least the kid is listening to Bright Eyes and not some crap emo.
  11. Same here. The only other albums I have is the first album and the Summer Sun ep.
  12. Finally got the reissue! I love it! The showtape '91 is fucking hilarious.
  13. I always pawn this off on someone. A friend of mine asked me about two months ago what one album I would suggest for them to pick up...
  14. Exactly. He can come with excuses all he wants to, but he can't write worth a shit anymore.
  15. And all this talk about it not being easy to get into and not for casual listening is code for it "this album will sounds like shit."
  16. No. I've heard farts with a better sound.
  17. I saw him during the musicforthemorningafter tour at the Riviera in Chicago. It was alright. It's almost like he dialed in the performance though. Nothing exciting, but tons of hot women.
  18. Yes, he came out with the guy from My Morning Jacket. All three of them were doing a tour together at the time.
