Yeah, the ending of Rule of Three kinda ruins the whole song for me. It has a nice beginning to it though.

You are correct. That song, No Backbone and Let's Just Laugh are my current favorites.

Yeah, I think it's pretty good. Not his best but it delivers more punch than Baby I'm Bored. My only beef with it is the lyrics, although that can be argued for every Lemonheads album.

I'm gonna pass on this until I find it used. Never been much into live albums. I still want to see them in concert first though.

True, but one of the first times I heard of the mats was in comparison to Nirvana. Regardless, they in turn turned me onto the mats. I am a bigger mats fan than anything these days.

When will there be a new Jayhawks record?

In ten years when they want to cash-in. -
Whoa, that's cool that you think that highly of those two albums. I'm curious as to why. I'm not being down about it at all. I just think that's some cool choices. I cheated. I just copied and pasted from my myspace page. 1. Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea 2. Paul Westerberg - Stereo/Mono 3. Weezer - Pinkerton 4. Guided By Voices - Bee Thousand 5. Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker 6. Sebadoh - Bakesale 7. Pavement - Slanted + Enchanted 8. Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 9. The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's

Finally got my real copy tonight. Sounds so good.

C'mon there's gotta be a functioning video of this somewhere. I tried youtube, but each one says that fox has requested that it be removed. Fucking assholes.

I was 11 when Nevermind came out, so it was a huge record for me and my friends. It opened a lot of bands up to us (like the pixies, the 'mats, meat puppets, etc.). In Utero was the bigger record among my buddies though. And yeah, it did seem rebellious to us at the time and it was. You gotta think about the context here people. The hair metal crap that was out around the time was pretty gay-sounding to me. My parents didn't want my brother and I to listen to that stuff. So, they had no clue about NIrvana, the Smashing Pumpkins , Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, etc. They were the perfect b

God this sounds great on the first listen. Of course I am a fanboy, but it sounds so freaking great to me.

Two in a row. They better beat Tampa Bay next week or I'm gonna riot. I think Gamble is a wanted man right now.

Getting pumped about the new record. I've been listening to this for days on end again.

This thread is so two weeks ago. But yeah, it's been a great summer record. Doubt it'll get much play in years to come but it's fun for now.

Malkmus said that Brighten had the most left overs, not the best. He said that Terror would be the least of the bunch. It would be interesting to hear some of the Preston School stuff in demo form which were, as the story goes, intended for Terror. I don't see why there can't be any songs since it's basically Spiral's deal anyway. At least Painted Soldiers made the album (twice). It was the first song I really liked by Pavement. I liked Cut Your Hair sort of, but no where near as much as I did Painted Soldiers.

I like CI and SVU but don't really watch the regular L&O. I love D'Onofrio's character in CI.
