brianjeremy replied to Love Boat Captain's topic in Someone Else's Song
Is it not kinda sad/funny that the news is that there is news coming soon? Must be a real slow day, huh? -

Awesome album. My cat likes that record - she's all the time knocking it off my shelf. I read a Child's Chrstmas in Wales as a poem one day to all of my students at school. T'was awesome. NP: The Shins - Wincing the Night Away

No Cars Go is one of my favorite Arcade Fire songs. I was kind of surprised to see it on there and can't wait to hear the redone version.

I think it's so gay that Graham and Jack are brothers. I mean, c'mon! Other than that, it was an alright episode.

Son Volt played both Greenville and Asheville (the one that made it to dvd) on their past tours, so I have a great chance of seeing them again. I thought they were great at both of the shows.

Then you don't talk to many football fans, do you?

That sucks about Parcells. Don't tell my ex this, but I was sorta starting to like Dallas. And I still stand by my "fuck peyton manning" statements that I have made in the past. He is a tool and I hope he doesn't win the Super Bowl. Again, fuck him. Thank you.

I seriously can't get enough of this album. Great stuff.

I just don't get it. It's an alright album but it's just pretty background music, you know? I certainly don't get why people are shitting themselves over these guys. I picked it up based on all the stroking it got on here. I was not pleased.

Is the album still boring as hell at those other speeds?

Someone at work told me to check it out. They know that I am into "good" emo and recommended that I give a spin. I kinda shrugged them off.

Great album and a nice guy. I got to catch him live back in the summer. Maybe 20 people in attendence.

You know what gets me out of the bed in the morning? The sudden urge to pee and midget pornography (you should see the little fuckers go). Perhaps, I should have said "spending too much time getting into new albums." In simple terms (more questions than answers here) - Take a band whose first album blew you away immediately. Next, add difficult "next" album to equation. Then take ADHD add it to the mix. How many times should you listen to an album in order to get it? Once? Ten time? A hundred? At some point the "I will eventually get it" -thing gets old. Really, how long does a r

Yeah, I'm really starting to dig this album more and more. The first track, although the vocals come across as quite jarring at first, it's a stellar track. I am quoted as saying that their first album made me want to go out and "shoot a bitch." I can see myself feeling this way for the album in the future. I just hate having to "get into" an album because the actual chances of success are very low. This one seems to be one of the few that actually make it in my book.

Their albums are pretty tough to come by. I was lucky enough to find a real copy about a year ago for cool $5. I used to have the others on cd-r but don't know where they're at now.

I would say that it's exactly the reason. Why else? You really can't argue with them. I may be mistaken, but isn't Pajo the one in the group who has the "best" musical career out of the group? That's not saying much because he lives like a bum from all accounts.

Not knocking pussy rock...there is a time and a place for that kind of nonsense. I mean, John Mayer is pussy rock to me. The AD are far more pussy than him and that takes some work. It's just too pleasant for me. It's far to sentimental/gooshy feeling and comes off sounding forced and trendy. I need my scarf and sweater kinda feeling. You picking up what I'm putting down?

Okay, I just got the dvd of the first 4 episodes (I am a loser with no life). It had the first 12 minutes of episode 5 on it. I am impressed...Can't fucking wait.

Superchunk - No Pocky for Kitty No real reason for suggesting it. It's just a great album that I gave a spin tonight and thought that not many people really listen to the 'Chunk anymore or even care for that matter.
