  1. Seriously, that's not one of their better albums. I mean, there are some good tracks on it, like Flame, but it's nowhere near as good as their mid-career albums.
  2. There was this one thing about Asheville though. One year, Tweedy did an interview with some paper/magazine after the show. He said some shit about Ryan Adams and it's been used as canon fodder ever since.
  3. This one has moved up on my Ryan Adams top-ten list. It took me awhile to get Cold Roses and this one has taken just as long for me to like....
  4. I tried to find a "porch monkey 4 life" picture, but couldn't.
  5. If you're talking about All Over the Place, it is legit. It was a promo release by Warner Bros (Reprise).
  6. I've seen all shows in asheville. Last years crowd sucked. Retarded fratboys and such.
  7. It's also worth noting that he says on his website that he may be planning an old school Sebadoh record (Eric, Jason, Lou), the first since Bubble & Scrape.
  8. I don't hate them, they're actually one of my favorite bands. They just get a lot of credit for stuff that sebadoh was doing years before they were. Why they are so lauded while Sebadoh remain fairly obscure is a great tragedy to me.
  9. Sorry! I still love you long time anyway!* *+1 to your post count, respond to this and you'll get another one free of charge.
  10. 26 years-young. Single dude with no children (that I know of). I joined this site in late 2001 (I think or was it early 2002, sometime around that point) after Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was leaked onto the internet. I was already a Wilco fan for a few years by then and was eagerly awaiting it's release and was crushed when I found that it was being ditched by the record company. I went to find other fans of the band to bitch about it being canned after I got it (I was certain that it was a classic). Ended up here. Been here a while, I just don't open my mouth as much as some of the other boar
  11. Agreed. AGIB has nothing on the Bennett-era albums. However, I will wait it out for their next release before I start bashing them.
  12. Bakesale is the best place to start. It's the most cohesive album they released and mixes the best of Barlow and Lowenstein's songs. In fact, it has J-Lo's best songs on it. III, Bubble & Scrape and Harmacy are also great records. Harmacy is there most commercial and has their "hits" on it. III is getting reissued in a few weeks, so you may want to pick it up then. III has Eric Gaffney's best songs on it, which tend to be noise-rock freak outs. Avoid the early stuff (freed weed, freed man, etc) as they are way too noisy for a novice. Don't forget the Folk Implosion or Barlow's sol
  13. I wish they would, but so far, they aren't.
  14. Shit, we're the internet pervs that the media is warning you about.
  15. Funny you say that because I paint to them as well.
  16. Nah, he called him his brother, so I'm just going by what he says.
  17. I've always liked Jay and his musis. There was so much "fuck Jay" shit thrown around here after he was kicked out and before YHF was released that I kinda had to get behind the underdog. I think Bigger than Blue was a great album even though there are moments of crap (Cars Can't Escape). He's had a rough go at it since his dismissal from Wilco. I hope things are looking up for him now.
