Well..........there you go.

Giving Tree Band this Saturday night at the old Lisle train depot. I saw them put on a great show there last year-they had the crowd really boogieing down and I expect more of the same on 9/13.

"Loaded Consequences" sounds like a tune by the New Duncan Imperials ;-)

Yesterday I decided to significantly reduce my daily caffeine intake. One cuppa Joe at 7am. I was asleep on the couch at 8:30pm.

The '73 box set is pretty good too.

Back in 2012, there were many Russian citizens loudly protesting the return of Putin to power. Maybe his abrupt demise would be met with less angst than you believe, KG.
-
At closing time at this live music venue I used to frequent, they'd play "Muskrat Love" to get everybody out the door. It worked, too.
-
Putin has been begging for a lead injection to the head for a long time.

check this out..........last night while the sun was setting I was taking the trash out to the street and lo and behold, a Great Blue Heron flew about 20 feet over my head, which was cool in its own right but this bird had a sizable muskrat in its bill. Never saw that before but it was super cool.

No sir, I'm just a guy with an interest in the great outdoors.

Or Obama allows a CIA hit squad to whack Putin while he's relaxing at his dacha. Hooray, evil despot eliminated and the world rejoices!

Our other monarch took off for Mexico this morning. God speed, you winged beast!
-
Whoa, vibes on the Dupuytrens contracture!

About the Englishtown show.....when I commit to a listening event, I listen outside so I can smoke my Winstons. It was kinda rainy on Friday night, so it wasn't the best setting for relaxing outside. Ya feel me now, Babs?

Watched half of "The Killer Inside Me" last nite before turning it off. Too brutal and knowing what he was going to do next didn't help. Jessica Alba never looked worse!
-
Yesterday we were lucky to witness the first flight of our monarch butterfly as it took wing on its journey to Mexico. Fare thee well, little guy!
-
Perhaps I will. Depends on the weather though.
-
One 7 oz can of tuna makes a nice lunch.
-
Full disclosure, I've never heard that Englishtown show. Also, for some reason I can no longer "quote" posts here. Odd, that.
-
Today I could go for a nice long Uptown Toodeloo.
-
This Saturday evening, 7pm.....Giving Tree is playing OysterFest at Damen and Roscoe. Donations optional!

^It better not be^

Started "Under the Dome" by S. King this morning. I have "The Ruins" by S Smith for a back up if Dome doesnt warrant lugging the thing around.

I finished "A Killer Inside Me" in one day. Holy crap, what a great book. Sure, one could say its pulpy trash and I wouldn't argue but still, Thompson caught the vernacular of west Texas wonderfully, the plot was tight and some of the local yokel phrases he used were just perfect. He brought me into the mind of a flawed man who was spinning out of control.
