Hhmmm. Interesting.

No, I've not seen the show. I haven't had cable or satellite since 1995. Sorry about you not fishing.

No pics yet but I plan on documenting the whole shebang. Today, despite severe concern, my van passed the emissions test. YEE-HAW! Seriously, a massive burden has been lifted from my shoulders and it feels great.

What, no fishing report from Jellystone?

Believe it or not, I've never seen that video but I bet you are referring to Phil the Fiddler, who left the band in January. He did have some wicked chops. I sorely miss him. I was talking to Todd the banjo player before the show, they are keeping the shows acoustic (and simple) until they have more new tunes worked out. They've been in the studio a lot lately and expect a new album for release early in '15. It appears there's gonna be more electric guitar in their future. I hope you saw them do "Live Love". With a bit of luck, that tune is going to break them wide open. You missed the e

Hey Calvino, not sure if you made it or not. I did talk to one guy on Sunday wearing a yellow shirt, sitting with his wife n kids but it wasn't you. Turned out the guy was kind of a jerk. Anyhow, the GTB shows were good, hope you were able to catch one of them.

Sounds good Calvino. Although, if I may make a suggestion....by going on Saturday you'll be giving yourself the option to return on Sunday which you're gonna want to do after seeing GTB live ;-) If I do see you, I'll be sure to shake your hand.

LIVE! TOMMOROW! AND THE NEXT DAY! Giving Tree Band is playing a free fest known as VeggieFest on Saturday and Sunday in Naperhell. They hit the stage at noon on both days. Its a nice lil fest, especially if you dig the vegetarian fare. I'm planning my schedule accordingly.

Saw 2 red tailed hawks in my front yard yesterday munching on a chipmonk. One was screeching like a banshee. Later, I saw a great horned owl land in a maple tree in the backyard.

Today I discovered a new pop superstar-Ariana Grande. I have no idea what her voice or songs sound like, just seeing a picture of her is enough to know she is gonna be a smash hit. In other news, I saw a whopper of a shooting star last night. The perseids have begun!

Today I have Manassas's "Sugar Babe" playing non stop in my head.

Sam Cutler's book was pretty good too. I forgot about Greg Allmans. Boy, that guy was a mess.

Lammy, that's not the best news......last few times I've seen them (1-2 years apart), it was pretty much the same setlist. Oh well, I'll probably go anyways....I loves me some Pups.

I skipped all the Pono shit too, boooooring.

Today I'm getting a bit concerned about the Ebola

Why, its easier to look at the stars that way. -
Oh yeah, I forgot about Keefs, that was a good one. Lammy, nope, haven't picked up the MPs one yet. Found out yesterday they're playing in Chicago on 10/23, co-headlining (?!) with Cass McComb (who ever that is).

Yeah, I forgot about that one.

Autobiography, biography, ghost written or not, I don't care. Which are your favs? Mine are, in no particular order: Neil Young's "Shakey" Levon Helm's "This Wheels on Fire" Graham Nash's "Wild Tales" Tony Iommi's "Iron Man" Phil Lesh's "Searching for the Sound" Bob Dylan's "Chronicles 1" What are some other good ones?

An unwavering foundation it is.
