The part near the end of "Mirror, Mirror" ("they're looking high, they're looking loooooooooow") is maybe my favorite Dr. Dog moment.
-
We are 4-2 despite having the worst bullpen ever!
-
They do the same thing here with the Mets. Sucks. That Tuesday after opening day is one the toughest days. I dread it every year.
Monday was a fluke! A fluke, I say!

Is there no jaw-dropped smilie?

I love that they booed him when he went up to A-Rod.
That whole thing was a nice moment.
He really lollipopped it up there for someone looking for a job.
-
That was an awful game for the Marlins today. How underwhelming.
-
yeah, new home jersey. I believe they called it "retro".
it's a good look.

Did the Mets switch to an Off-white home jersey, or is my TV off?

Great show.
"Something" was incredible.
It's amazing that he's able to play 3 hours a night with almost no breaks at the age of 67. Hell, by the end of the show, I was exhausted.
-
I'm enjoying the hell out of this one. It's another completely solid Dr. Dog album.
-
Definitely a fun time at the movies.
Not as laugh out loud funny as the Hangover, but it was ridiculous enough that I never got bored.
-
I saw that guy too.
I also saw a homeless guy outside that looked like Axl Rose.

Son of a bitch, they topped Miami one night later!
-
Reminds me of that scene in Almost Famous where Jimmy Fallon's character says, "If you think Mick Jagger is going to be out there at 60, still doing his thing - well, you're sadly mistaken my friend."
I didn't invent the rainy day, man. I just own the best umbrella.
-
I thought Jeff said something about photos being allowed but not with flash.
Or maybe it was the friendly robotic voice at the beginning of the show?

The "Oh Yeah", "That's it", "Holy Shit" kids were behind me the whole first set, they seemed to lose their minds every time Nels grabbed the guitar. Then they started to do some sort of head bang that I have not seen since the 90's. Part of me applauded their enthusiasm, maybe on of their first concerts, the other part of me was getting annoyed. Luckily they moved after the set break. Impressive crowd for Miami, was worried since my last shows were the residency shows and those were memorable but this was a very good time.
They looked straight out of a Blind Melon concert, circa 1994. It was pretty entertaining, but as I was literally standing elbow to elbow with those guy, it grated on me a bit.

Oh my god, I couldn't be more excited. Going to Atlanta and Durham shows.
Did they go on right at 8?
scheduled for 8:30, more like 8:45, but they played until like 11:20.
I'm not generally one to complain about crowds, and all in all, this was a good one, but I did have two songs legitimately ruined for me, unfortunately.
During "Impossible Germany", Jeff basically stopped playing and starred at a guy a few feet away from me who was videotaping, and he kept it up for a good minutes after. I finally tapped him on the shoulder and told him to put the camera down, but overall, it was pretty distracting with Jeff stopping playing and all. Unfortunate.
And then during either "Handshake Drugs" or "You Never Know", a guy behind me kept yelling random things throughout the song. It takes a lot for me to have a bad concert experience, but this guy was literally yelling something like "oh yeah" or "that's it" every 10 seconds. Sorry if you're on this board, man, and I'm really happy you were enjoying the song that much, but come on, man.
Despite those two minor hiccups, it was an incredible show. The acoustic set was right up my alley, since I'd seen them once on the WTA tour and a couple of other times, so it wa great to see something completely different. The band really seemed to enjoy it too, but I wonder how much the people outside of the pit were feeling it. I could imagine the more intimate set up would be lost on someone 100+ feet away.
Surprisingly great crowd for a Miami show, though I never expected I would ever hear high school girls screaming during a wilco show. Biggest surprise of the night, by far.

intermission, they appear to be setting up a full band acoustic set.
Sorry for the short hand. Hope you can pick it out.
I've seen a few VCers but haven't been able to say hi. Sorry, guys. I'm not rude, I'm just a little shy.
Jeff yelled at two videotapers already. It kind of ruined "Impossible Germany", as he kind of stopped playing. I had to tap the guy on the shoulder and let him know Jeff wanted him to stop.
Pulled a kid with a sign up on stage to sing and play guitar to "California stars". That was awesome.

So what are the chances they play a cover of "Thirteen" by Big Star?
What about a guest appearnce by Feist? Seems likely as this is a Miami show..coming off a weekend.
With Alex Chilton's passing, I would say "Thirteen" is not a bad guess.

Sweep the you-know-what?
"Sweep the you-know-what" is one of my favorite things ever.
Just wanted to let you know. For some reason unbeknownst to me, it tickles me.

If you take out Burke Badenhop, I think our bullpen has like an 11 era.
