I heard "SexyBack" at a wedding this past weekend and it put me in mind of it. The whole album is a jam. I wish he would come out with another one, although I'm enjoying his acting work. Great talent.

Just got done listening to a live stream of the 2nd night of Solid Sound. They played 4 new songs, I think, and all of them were similarly upbeat. I'm liking what I've heard.

We went seperate ways during high school, but once we got to college, my sister and I's music tastes converged pretty nicely. We've been to the last two Bonnaroos together, and we both became obsessed with the Gaslight Anthem at the same time. I even got her into Wilco.

Saw the first show of their tour on Wednesday night in Miami, really good show. Conor Oberst was dancing at one point, which was kind of weird. The band is very tight right now, and they played a really good mix of songs from every album.

The version of "Lua" was played with just Conor and the multi-instrumentalist, who played a trumpet. It was absolutely gorgeous.
Closing with "One For You, One for Me" kind of let the air out of the building and it was kind of cheesy. My only criticism. But they played "Bowl Of Oranges", so all is forgiven.

Well, aesthetics are tough to argue. For instance, even though I know Dwyane Wade is a far better player, I preferred watching Michael Beasley play for the Heat last year from a purely aesthetic point of view. I just find his game incredibly pleasing, for all of the reasons I find Wade's boring; there's a methodicalness and preplanned nature to his greatness that turns me off, somewhat.
So, with Odom, I could totally see that argument. There's a million things he can do on the court, he's super long and supremely coordinated, and he's extremely smooth. He's like LeBron James, but with some soul.
