  1. I say "kill them off". They are the Jar Jar Binks of Lost.
  2. I don't know about the whole "promo" single thing. I guess I always think of singles as: 1. Something with B-sides 2. Available to purchase. 3. Something that is charted. Like these: Box Full Of Letters CD-Single 1995 Outtasite (Outta Mind) CD-Single 1997 A Shot In The Arm CD-Single 1999 A Shot In The Arm CD-Single 1999 Can't Stand It CD-Single 1999 Can't Stand It CD-Single 1999 War On War CD-Single 2002 But I guess other people have different ideas of a single. 3. I think War on War was the only single from either of those records.
  4. Afghan Whigs - Misunderstood
  5. If you get a chance you should give "Teenage Fanclub has lost it" a listen. They take four songs from their catalog and rerecord them. Beautiful.
  6. regardless of whether it is sarcasm or not, it is mean and hurtful. and to think that this all started because one poster said that tapers don't like these formats. i mean, no tapers on this thread complained about the mp3s being posted did they?
  7. got one. in case anyone else is interested. you have to call the marfa ballroom store : 432-729-3600.
  8. Great poster! I don't suppose any of you picked up an extra that you would be willing to sell???? I would love to get one and I have had no luck at the Marfa Ballroom site or in any of the usual places. Thanks. Look in your heart, Ted
  9. anyone try the second test? maybe my brain is fried, but this one seems a bit harder.
  10. I don't know how you guys got 30 and 31. The closest I could get was 9 prisons in San Antonio. Thanks for the game (and the answers). It was a great time waster. ted
  11. 1. Sangre de Stephanie - Lifter Puller 2. Anything You Want - Spoon 3. All You Need Is Love - The Beatles
  12. I'm pretty sure it was That Smell a Lynyrd Skynyrd cover and he did the Hank Williams song I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive.
  13. try these: http://www.expressobeans.com/public/search...edy&class=0 http://www.expressobeans.com/public/search...&available= http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?band=35040 http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?band=5163 Also, it does seem a bit strange sometimes, but it seems to happen every tour that they do not release posters for certain cities. For this tour, there was no poster for Memphis or New Orleans (Charlottesville - TBD) but for all of the other cities there were posters. The band has gotten very selective about the designs and artists that they use for the art. -Ted
  14. Oh, I forgot to mention that Scott started his set with Dear Employer, which was a high point for me. He had the drummer and violinist from Tin Cup Prophette play with him during his set. There was a great Hatch Show print available for the show. I'd say the only negative for me was that the venue was cold as hell. Great night though. -Ted
  15. I thought that I'd get the ball rolling on the Atlanta thread... Fantastic show. It was definitely the funniest show that I have ever seen. Jeff seemed to have a great time. Cars can't escape Muzzle of Bees Promising What Light New Madrid Passenger Side Someone Else's Song + Dreamer in My Dreams + Acuff Rose (all unplugged) Gun Remember the Mountain Bed Via Chicago ITMWLY IATTBYH Jesus, etc. Hesitating Beauty The Ruling Class Spiders Lonely 1 Patient with Me Heavy Metal Drummer Shot in the Arm Box Full of Letters I think that's about it. The order is all incorrect of course, but I'm pretty
  16. I don't suppose that anyone out there has any of these and wants to sell them to someone who will appreciate them and give them a lovely home? I've got ebay covered and I've checked with the artists, so I thought I'd turn to via chicago for help. Thanks for looking and any help that you might be able to give, Ted I know there is a second printing out there for this flaming typewriter one, but I was looking for the original.
