  1. i'd like to thank the always delicious taco bell

Dear Lord baby Jesus, or as our brothers in the south call you, jesuz, we thank you so much for this bountiful harvest of Dominos, KFC, and the always delicious Taco Bell. I just want to take time to say thank you for my family. My two beautiful, beautiful, handsome stricking sons, Walker, and Texas Ranger, or TR as we call him. And of course my red hot smokin' wife Carley, who is a stone cold fox. Dear 8 pounds 6 ounces baby Jesus, new born, not even spoken a word yet...

  2. there comes a time in every person's life that he or she will put on a radio station like KISS FM or Q101 and hear a song and wonder, "How the hell did this song make it on the radio?"

perfect example is i am driving with my sister, and she has on KISS FM. this song by "the plain white t's" comes on, and the chorus goes "hate is a strong word, but i really really really dont like you." me and my sister look at each other and just started laughing on how such a song could make it on popular radio. if you havent heard the song, here is a link to youtube for the music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3qPqpH2uqw

i think that the viachicago community has a lot of the smartest/knowledgable members when it comes to music. so i pose the question to you all: which songs have you heard on "popular radio" recently and you wondered, how is this popular?

  4. wow what a night!!! the opening act, neil hamburger, was a little bit confusing on how god awful he was. i dont know if i missed the joke but the whole audience thought he was a really crappy he was. but onto the d, they started out just the 2 of them, but then "died" went to "hell" where they were joined by the anti-christ on guitar, charlie chaplin on bass, and colonel sanders on drums. funny stuff. they played a bunch of new material and did some classic comedy.

  5. my first wilco concert was august 12, 2000 at chicago's rock the river. i was a ripe old age of 12 and i did not want to go. my dad basically dragged me to see them, and ever since that night, i was hooked. about 5 1/2 years later, at the living room concert in barrington, my dad talked to jeff tweedy on my cell phone, telling him how he had to drag me to see them. thanks dad.
