dont' get too excited - it's March next year till it comes out, and no details yet. i just hope it's not another one of those ridiculously overpriced rip-off you-have-to-buy-the-vinyl-and-cd-at-the-same-time at a monstrous price just to get all the tracks. http://www.woody100.com/newreleases.htm anyone else know anything about this?

with Wilco having their own label now, i thought that meant they would be in control of their career. so how is it that footage of their performance of new songs at the Solid Sound festival was removed from Youtube because of WMG? how can Warners interfere with that, especially since they were out of contract with Nonesuch when theses songs were preformed? neve mind WMG, more like WTF!

having just seen wilco for the first time last month, i'm going to buy this dvd. i wondered if there are any differences between the region 1/2 versions? (i did try to search for posts on this, but the search kept getting rejected.) i was very surprised that there seems to be only 12 songs, with various bonus songs as extras? why didn,t they just recreate a full show as the main feature?

hi there thanks for the setlist and other info. i was at this gig (Belfast native), and i have a terrible memory. i can remember some of the songs, but not all, or the order they were played in. i didn't know some of them since i haven't bought WTA yet - i was waiting for the (i thought) inevitable tour edition of the album, that would have a 2nd cd with more tracks on it. i missed one song in the middle of it (pitstop). my first Wilco gig - was always annoyed about the way they used to arrive in Dublin at the start of a European tour and the next gig would be in Glasgow or Edinburgh usually,

hi i've been revisiting some 80's/90's music recently, and i loved Moving Targets, the Boston-area band that featured Ken Chambers. i never got around to buying their 1st cd on Taang Records which had Burning In Water and Brave Noise on it, and now i can't find it anywhere. can anyone help? just think of how good you'll feel if:- A. you know who i'm talking about B. you can help me track down a copy of this cd i'm told the warm glow lasts all through winter - save on those heating bills! PM me if you got some info. thanks

hi guess what, i missed ep 5 of the latest series. no-one i know has it on tape or dvd. anyone here got it? (i don't own a pc, so i can't watch a download that hasn't been converted into dvd format.) can anyone help? i'm in the UK, by the way - i'll pay postage/disc cost. i really don't want to have to wait til the dvd set comes out... gracias

aloha haven't been to Pitchfork in a few weeks, did today, and...what has happened? i can't access older news items (i was looking for items from the latter part of June 2008), reviews etc. anyone know what's wrong? better still, can someone recommend a similar site that i can access unitl/if PF gets sorted out?

has anyone here got the Uptighty cd album? this is the 90's band that Leroy was in. i have a 7" and was wondering was the album any good? i try to listen to a song or two on Myspace before i buy albums now, it has slowed down the growth of the small mountain of cd's i buy and don't like. unfortunately that isn't possible with an album that came out in the (early?) 90's. an opinion or two from informed persons would be most helpful. danke mein frueunds

does Chuck do his usual "seig heil Minister Farrakhan" thing on it?

moxiebean, thanks for the download info, unfortunately i don't own a pc, or i would go for that. maybe someone here has the actual cd and wants to sell it? or trade a copy of it for a wilco show or something else? i live in hope...

i've heard this is going to be reissued. has anyone else heard this? if so, have you any details? i've got their other cd's, (was really pleased to recently get The Day Before Wine & Roses, the rare radio station concert on cd) wish i could get this one. keep getting outbid on Ebay. i've never actually heard this album at all. very frustrating. any info would be most gratefully received.

hi there. i posted a while back about a song on their 2nd album, and got some very helpful info from fellow Band fans here. Here's hoping you can help me now, too. i want to buy TLW on dvd, and thought i had read there was a special 4 disc version of it, but having looked around, can't find it anywhere. i've seen a 4 cd version, but not 4 dvd's. was there a 4 dvd edition? also, i read in an Amazon.co.uk review that the dvd has had the song Caravan (performed with Van Morrison) left off it. can anyone confirm that? if there is a version with Caravan on it, how can i identify it? gracias amig

BIG thank you, LouieB, and everyone else who helped . it's still a damned annoying ending, though...

I've got the reissue of The Band's 2nd self-titled cd "The Band", and on the song ,"When You Awake", just after the 3 minute mark, and in the middle of a new verse, it suddenly fades out! Has anyone here got either the ist cd issue, or even better, the original lp? I'd like to know if this song was originally like this, or has there been a cock-up on the reissue? gracias amigos

the PERFECT reply, Brewinhand. thank you!

remember the site that Sam Jones had in the run-up to the release of I Am Trying..? there was supposed to be footage he shot that didn't make it on to the dvd. i was wondering if anyone has converted the extra footage from that site to dvd? i don't have a pc, so i never saw any of it, watched the film again and wished i had seen the other footage. can a kindly soul help?

only if you're a snivelling, pathetic little boy.

just playing this show i traded for a while back, and the date seems to be wrong. Wilcobase appears to confirm it, but at one point jeff says "that was a song from our last record" (a track from Summerteeth), then "and her's a song from our new record", then they play a track from Mermaid Ave 2. i thought that sounded ok, but then i thought, weren't wilco off the road at that time? YHF came out in Apr 02, after a very protracted spell of recording for it finished in mid 01, and i seem to remember JT saying that Wilco had never been off the road for so long before. this is the set list:- CD1

anyone else see this last night? a short approx 12-min prog with brief bits of songs and interviews in the Loft. i only caught about half of it. looked like it was maybe an excerpt from the SBS dvd. can anyone confirm this?

i can't believe that anyone would think "lets not get..." is ridiculously good. tired, cliched, derivative is more like it. pity they didn't something, anything else on the b-side of what light.
-
i think this is music-related, but here goes anyway... i've traded quite a few cd's of Wilco etc. shows through VC, and have found that on a number of them, my cd player has trouble playing tracks in the middle of the cd. it doesn't seem to be able to find tracks after, say, track 2, although it will play the cd from start to finish if i don't stop it. i thought this might be because cd writers burning at high speed introduce more errors, so i started asking fellow traders to burn at the lowest speed possible, ie. 4x, but i still get some with this problem. it happens on unbranded and brand
-
it doesn't explain why he allowed Lets Not Get Carried Away (What Light 7" b-side) to be released (cliched, tired, derivative; the latest lineup's Casino Queen), instead of say, The Thanks I Get. even allowing for differences in taste, surely he wouldn't prefer LNGCA to TTIG? or when WEA asked for a new b-side, maybe he just lifted the first master tape at hand?

is that a Sebadoh fan calling someone else a nerd? that's not just rich, it's multi-national corporation-multi-billionaire-level rich. you can now crawl back to your room and cry, misunderstood, unloved one...and may L o u B a r l o w have mercy on your soul.
