  1. bruce was fun live, but those tapes are like middle range hell. just too much going on. i wish it was just bruce. vince was always too high in the mix. anyway, any one see/hear those shows phil and bob did with the darkstar orchestra dude?
  2. i saw them in 92 and i just remember it being so damn loud.
  3. Umm, this is amazing. is luther on the left? i love the long hair, beards, and flannel shirts. rock at it's finest. think i'm gonna see them in atlanta next month.
  4. cool. i wonder which sequence the band prefers. i do like a few songs on amorica, but not familiar with the lost crowes stuff. like i said before, gonna dig into the catalog a bit after i digest the new one. thanks again for the info:)
  5. thanks for the info. gonna check this out. curious about the different order on the vinyl. btw, appaloosa is awesome.
  6. is the song Dolphins any good? sounds intriguing. it's not released, is it?
  7. never been a crowes fan, except for the singles back in the early 90s. have tried several times. on a whim, i got this lp. i love it. it's the first album in years that i've actually want to go back and listen to again in order to pick up the nuances. just great lyrics, compelling songs in a classic format, and excellent production. ALL albums should be recorded this way. i'm only listening to the first album at this point. i love luther's playing. not much more to say. i'm really excited about diving back into their catalog in the future and i'm dying to hear the unreleased tracks f
  8. im surprised you like Let me go more than pyramid. both are really acquired tasts, but let me go is so so bleak!
  9. of course, i'm responding on a day when actually like molina more than the idea of him. this could change momentarily. i'm getting so much more reactionary about music as i get older:) Nashville Moon is a keeper. one of the best albums of the decade as far as i'm concerned.
  10. well, their best album is Nashville Moon which is part of the Sojourners Box set. it's the first 12 songs. have no idea why jason didn't release that instead of the hodgepodge fading trails. however, fading trails is okay. as far as songs ohia goes, their best album is the Lioness. molina's voice is listenable and it's just a nice dark, yet warm album. from there, ghost tropic. very very rewarding after several listens. what ever that means.
  11. that's right. man, that must have been a great show. i love ben keith. we went to see CSNY on that LWW tour in atlanta and ben was just walking around in the audience. my wife was like, 'there's ben keith!' i was so happy i had schooled her so well on neil and his cronies:) incidently, that show ended up being the centerpiece of the Deja Vu movie a few years back. pretty interesting scene.
  12. cool! he hasn't come south for about 3 years now. i'm hoping an acoustic tour is in the works and he makes his way down here.
  13. speechless! that is gonna kick so much ass! yes, that was the initial chrome dreams tour where neil busted out Try and Mexico. hope those are in the movie. as well as a long Hidden Path!
  14. good deal. i noticed it and downloaded. i'm gonna give it a chance even though i really want to delete it already:)
  15. heard the new album, Joy. it's pretty MOR. phish used to have good songs as well as chops. they still have chops, but the songs are gone. page's song is just a joke. can't believe he couldn't come up with anything given his good solo album a few years back. some of the songs have potential(light, 20 years) but go nowhere except into multiple voice overdub hell. the initial hook on time turns elastic is good, but the rest of the song is totally forgotten and way too long. luckily, the band still has their chops and are playing well these days. i used to like their albums. rift, billy
  16. Doom Tour is CSNY. I LOVE Pushed It Over The End from that era. And I'm with you Victor, TFA on CD/DVD would be so awesome RIGHT NOW!
  17. thanks for posting... what is Doom Tour? also, where did you get this info? finally, no Rusted Out Garage or Ducks or Catalyst?
  18. okay, is see. so now we need to figure out what the other ones are. rusted out garage will be one. trans band another. prolly a weld era show too. what else?
  19. yeah, i'm looking forward to it. i do wish it was either a whole show or there was a bonus disc with 'other songs'. i saw this tour. it was so great. shawn colvin opened up. neil played so many great songs that tour and he was still fairly young and looked like the 70s neil young pics. with his leather vest and jeans etc. i remember he played field of opportunity as well as speaking out. would love to have those on this disc. now the mysterious part is that this is archive release #12. wtf?
  20. it doesn't sound like zep. it sounds like all the other cock rock/alterna rock that's come out for almost two decades now. rock is over!
  21. Joy Bonus disc tracklist. Phish is offering an exclusive Joy Box, which is available only at Phish Dry Goods a a Limited Edition deluxe version of eleventh studio album - Joy. 22. secret machines have been making music like this for years. why is music produced so bad? there is a reason the old zep stuff is amazing...it's produced so warmly with phat drums up front and not echoed to shit. the bass is actually heard and guitars basically come out of the speakers. it's really not that the music of the last 28 years has been bad, its the production!!! ironically, one of the best produced songs of the last decade was that queens of the stoneage song that dave played on.
