  1. Yes. I was the one who organized it (you can check the thread in the tab section). They were gonna start charging money so I took it down. It is my plan to move to another hosted wiki that is free.

    Thank you.

Great site! Hope all goes well.

    Looking forward to the return.

  2. All this talk about the Fall 77 Tour....at this time I'll have to plug 10/29/77. Great show! So many highlights. Fantastic energy. The 1st set closer of Let It Grow is a blaze. If you've never heard this show seek it out and enjoy

  3. Is it gone? I tried my old link but was not redirected anywhere. Anyone with info or direction? I know it was defunked a while ago but I seem to remember some chatter about keeping it alive. ?

    Thanks.

  4. It was 40 years ago today, August 6, 1974, I stepped into Roosevelt Stadium, the Orange Sun was Shining brightly, the Wall of Sound was staring us down, a beardless Jerry and band stepped out into the sunshine and kicked into Bertha, and away we went.  First show. At least I've been enjoying the ride.

Lucky you! Great show! Playing ->Scarlet->Playing!

Put down the new Dave's Picks and listen to Roosevelt Stadium 8/6/74.

    You'll be glad you did.

  5. Thanks for posting that account. I'm glad that juvenile delinquent got his act together. He turned out pretty good too.

Has anyone caught any of the Ratdog shows? I'm seeing them Wednesday. Setlists look rather GD heavy.

Another good Summerteeth-era show is from Bogart's, 11-5-1999. Rare live version of "Any Major Dude Will Tell You" and a few other covers, plus a huge Kingpin. Jeff was in a strange headspace that night, based on the stage banter.

If I had to pick a No. 1 favorite live Wilco recording, the 9/4/03 show at the McDonald Theatre would probably be it. Really unique setlist and terrific sound. Opening with Kingpin. Tons of Jeff lead guitar on not-quite-finished AGIB songs. Cars Can't Escape. 3 songs from A.M., and Laminated Cat is a total monster.

Yes Yes 11/5/99 is a great show/bootleg "Any Major Dude" is a stand out.

9/4/03 is an all time favorite. People in Oregon do not sing about California Stars. I think Tweedy was testing them. That show rocks!

  7. 4/29/95 St. Louis (Who Were You Thinking Of?)

    11/12/96 L.A. Troubadour

    2/15/97 Irving Plaza

    4/21/99 Irving Plaza

    1/12/03 S.F. (goth version HMD)

9/4/03 Eugene OR (sing along CA Stars)

    Studio outtakes:

    YHF Engineer's Demo

    Fan Compilations:

    Someone Else's Song

  8. Take what she gives you
    Don't feel sorry for her

    Poor little girl
    Ran away for good
    I try to explain
Why she won't say a thing

    Sad, sad thing
    I'm so far away now
    How can I say
Why she won't talk at all

She holds the deck of cards
    She wants to be alone
She still drinks in the dark
The radio is left on late

    She saw a madman fight
    And break it all
    'Cause she hated herself
    And she felt better off
    'Cause she was only drunk

  9. Still looking for a good 83'.

    Try Berkeley Greek 5/14/83 -

    Great 2nd set!

    Shakedown. Playin->China Doll->Playin->Bob Jam* ->Drums->Wheel->Playin->AM Dew-> Sugar Mag. E) Sat Night.

    * Bob lingers on stage for a while and shows us why he was voted best Rhythm Guitarist from BAM Magazine that year or there aboot.

There are some good quality Aud recordings out there maybe the Archives have some?

    Worth seeking out!

  10. Glad you enjoyed it. Pay it forward! :cheers

On another note: can anyone direct me to a SBD of the Dead show from May 28th, 1982? Really cool second set with Boz Scaggs & John Cipollina. There's a very nice clip of it on YouTube, but it's far too long to convert via the old "YouTube to mp3 converter" site. I'd be fine with any .rar or .zip file of FLAC or mp3.

Well, I checked out my list and the best I can do is an "aud" cassette from 5/28/82. Its a B+ grade. Do you still have a tape player? I still have blanks.

  11. Would Jeff need a good back-up band to help him power thru a "solo" album? Bob Weir had a great back-up band for his "solo" project, Ace. Come to think of it, Jerry Garcia used the exact same back-up band for one of his "solo" projects, Reflections.
