OK and the opening chords to the verse are not G / F / G / F - but - G / Fdim
"Fdim" is 1X0033
This is actually G5/F if you want to get technical but it doesn't really matter. Anyway this is the right chord to play.

Just got back from the show, was pretty good, posted a full review in my blog (see my signature). David Ortiz and David Ortiz, where were you guys located? I actually decided to sit down for this one on those nice comfy couches up top.

I'm curious what people's thoughts are on the Martin DX1. Just bought it for $500. Solid spruce top, dreadnaught. I love the tone (based my purchase on which one Bob Dylan's Beard sounded best on) but I've had some purists take issue with the non-wood backing. I still love it but wondering what y'all think.
I played one of these for about a minute at a friends house this weekend. His was a few years old but I really didn't like at all, the action was atrocious, but I guess that differs between guitars.

Thanks, that's some really good ideas.
Anybody else have any favorite methods?
Run an instrument of your choice through a moog, usually sounds pretty cool.

would someone mind posting all the little fills in this. the altcountry site seems to no longer exist. i tried gumbopages, but the fills (except for the first one) seem off to me.
thanks so much

I do this drop D
This is what i play:
For the riff during the verse:
Maybe I'm Just A Kid....
e-----------------------
B----------------------
G-----------------------
D---------------------
A 12-12-12-14-12- 9
D 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0
Then when he goes "I'm Ready, I'm Ready..." just hit a Gmaj chord in rhythm with Jeff's syllables
After that play:
e-----------------------
B----------------------
G-----------------------
D---------------------
A 12-12-10-12-10- 9
D 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0
The Chorus ("Everybody Everybody")
D / C#dim / Bm / A/ G/ A
I play C#dim like this:
e x
B 5
G 6
D 5
A x
D x
Other chords I just play barred, barre D and Bm on A string, and A and G on the low D string
With drop D, I play a barred G like this:
e 3
B 3
G 4
D 5
A x
D 5
And barred A like this:
e 5
B 5
G 6
D 7
A x
D 7
Hope you can understand my mess, enjoy.

my 212 deville is too loud for me - can anyone recommend a good one speaker amp (pref tube) with lower wattage? I want something that starts breaking up fairly low - i've heard that deluxes are good....also, i think i'm gonna trade in my 212 deville, so probably something under 500 would be good. any ideas?
I've got a deluxe and its awesome. It can play plenty loud if you want but I also use it in my dorm room...very versatile. Great sound clean, my only complaint is the distortion is a bit muddy but its fine if you keep the drive down.
I bought mine used for around $550 (i think i dont exactly remember).

Sounds awesome but i think i remember him using a capo (5th fret possibly) in IATTBYH, maybe im wrong i dunno. Either way this version works for me.

From what I have gathered Lollapalooza acts aren't allowed to play shows in our around Chicago for two months prior and two months after the festival so chances are no, no Wilco in Chicago until Fall (except for Lolla and Conan of course).
