I am going to note that I fear and loath big business as much as anybody, but many regular people, either directly or through mutual funds, hold stock in large corporations and depend on their well-being for their own well-being. About two and a half years ago, I got an XM radio and a spiff new laptop, and both have revolutionized the way I listen to music. It's all about playlists, either my own in iTunes or XM's. Maybe. But anyone who joins al-Qaida, I have no real sympathy for. They should be treated in accord with the Geneva Conventions because failure to do so corrodes us, not because I feel they particularly deserve to be well-treated.
