  1. A guy with the same last name as mine plays for the Jets. I was thinking about getting a replica jersey of his, but as a Giants fan, it wouldn't be proper, even though I bear no ill will toward the Jets.
  2. Well, you know those silly kids and their meth.
  3. Yeah. I once wore this apparatus on my chest for some 24 hours to try to get to the root of my tachycardia and tried as I might, I could not get it to happen. It got a lot better when they started putting pseudoephedrine behind the counter and replaced the decongestant pills' active ingredient with phenylephrine. I was told that tachycardia rarely kills people, but it is something that should be checked out. I was also advised to blend regular coffee with decaf, which helped wean me off of massive caffeine neediness.
  4. I used to pound coffee, but nowadays if I have more than two cups a day, I put myself at risk for tachycardia, which I don't like too much, so I limit myself. As we get older, our bodies change (generally not for the better, it seems) and we react to things differently. Drinking less coffee has also helped control my blood pressure some. I fear if I stopped caffeinating completely, I would have to go into a nine-month coma to catch up on my sleep. You tried melatonin?
  5. Stay strong, my Macedonian bro. The blood of Alexander flows through your veins!
  6. Congratulations to a fine gentleman, scholar, music appreciator and VCer! Best wishes on your special day!
  7. I think I bought precisely 0 new releases in 2007, so I won't be posting a mix, but I am enjoying the ones people have posted. Thank you all for doing so.
  8. Awesome! There is hope in the world, I have learned recently, and if you just reach out for it, help abounds.
  9. I know Tank Johnson had his problems, but Chicago is a lesser team without him, and Dallas a better one. Funny how Dallas has become the best team in the NFC by taking on the highly problematic TO and getting him to behave. (I suspect some sort of antidepressant/mood stabilizer is involved there, which is common in people who seem to have mental problems but don't anymore. Kinda like when you see someone get skinny all of a sudden, and infer gastric bypass.)
  10. Raise it high, that New York pie!
  11. Amen, brother. A finely crafted thin crust is a joy forever.
  12. Nope, because there's no way that any justice system can be perfect enough to make an innocent person being executed an impossibility. Locking up an innocent person wrongly is one thing - if you find out you made a mistake, you can always release the person, say you're really, really sorry and give him or her a million bucks or so. Executing an innocent person is irrevocable. And no, I don't see abortion as an equivalent. Fetuses are not people yet. Should people be more careful about who they f and whether they use protection? Sure, they should. Is it better to be alive and the product of a m
  13. I just don't see how it is good for the mother, the baby or society in general to make a woman have a child she does not want to have.
  14. What's the solution, then? Lock the mom up and force her to carry the baby to term? Then what happens? If it's a white baby, there'll be tons of people who'll adopt, I suspect; any other color I imagine is a bit more dicey.
