I think you have the wrong impression about them. Listen to the Ageatis album and tell me it is hipster music.

Back! Had a fun time! Only had 24 hours or so but did all I could on that hot a humid saturday! Went for Breakfast in Wriglyville (Nookies Tree House...good meal) Walked around Wrigley, Lincoln Park and the zoo, Spent time by cloudgate and the fountain then had some pizza at Pizzano's walked by the Marina Towers , Navy Pier and up Michigan ave to the Watertower and Hancock building. Then went for Dinner at Harry Caray's behind the Marina Towers In between somewhere I had a hot dog and Garrets popcorn...uggh no more crazy eating for awhile! -

Hi All! Back! Love Milwaukee!!! Unofrtunatley I only had 24 hours but I crammed it in! Went to Miller Park for a game, got a brat and fried cheese curds at The Brat House (got a pic at Maders ), bought cheese at the Wisconsin Cheese Mart. Had dinner atthe Rock Bottom brewery (It was sunday and my first choice was not open!) drove around the shoreline from the Art Museaum to the North Point Lighthouse, Harley Museum and Milwaukee Public Market! Thanks for the previous suggestions Will have to make it back soon! -

Which singers have you seen have the best stage banter..can be from the past too... My favorites include 1. Mark Sandman-Morphine 2. John Flansberg-They Might Be Giants 3. Ryan Miller-Guster 4. Morrissey..everytime he opens his mouth something wacky is coming.. 5. Jeff Tweedy-He has some great zingers... 6. Mike Doughty-Soul Coughing..off the wall stuff 7. Dave Grohl-Foo Fighters 8. Springsteen-Good story teller...sometimes witty 9. Fountains of Wayne Bands I like with not so good stage banter Radiohead, Phish (Trey says at most 2 words to the audience a show!), Son Volt

When I was 7 years old I was at the mall with my grandma....we went into a record store and she said pick up whatever album you want. My dad had a beautiful technics turntable at home so I opted for the vinyl over the cassette. The album I picked up... http://entertainment.time.com/2012/08/29/michael-jackson-bad/?hpt=hp_t3#an-oral-history-of-bad as much as I don't listen to MJ now the album still holds great memories of the trip to the mall with grandma. As time went on my brother drew over the inside of the record with his orange marker and I was mad...still have the album and get a smile o -
I hear ya and Nels can pull of what Bob did if he wanted...I just liked the sound of lapsteel, banjo's etcs more in the forefront of Wilco's music...Nels occasionally will pull out something funky and I like those moments.

I miss Bob Egan too

I would agree though I haven't played those albums by Blues Traveler in probably 10 years... As a side note John Popper handed me a harmonica at a show once -
Who are the Bob Dylans and Neil Youngs of today?

Beck, Elliott Smith (If he was still around) and Ryan Adams? -
I saw Jeff Solo once and Nels joined him on Dash 7 on the Dobro and it was freaking awesome!! I just looked on wilcobase and the song has only been played live 8 times

They rereleased it on cd about two years ago. It was called the Bunkhouse album but when rereleased it was called just "The Jayhawks" I highly recommend picking it up..something about Jayhawks twang and fast playing I love http://en.wikipedia....Jayhawks_(album) Do You have the expanded version of Blue Earth with Nightshade, Fingernail Moon and Two Minute Pop Song? How were these left off the original album!!!!?? -
It was a interesting show (Weird vibe)..I saw them at the Electric Factory in Sept 2001..That show was the only time I heard Should've Been In Love live one of my Fav's of AM...

Hell yeah! I agree 100% on Toad. Bread & Circus (written when Glen was 17), Pale , Fear and Dulcinea was an incredible run with hardly any missteps! Coil is great too..on a similar note I would add Del Amitri (around since 1983) great pop writters! -
Ah..anyways I am a firm believer that peoples favorite albums by an artist are usually the first album they got into by the band. in 2003 Wilco def got a new wave of support thus why many may hold Ghost dearly...
-
Is the consensus Ghost is most people's favorites?
-
Radiohead is the only touring band left I like more then Wilco..I enjoy Wilco though more in the sense that it is less of a headache getting tickets and Wilco play smaller places..
-
Memphis and Little Rock...need a source for upcoming concerts
