Morphine were great..saw them probably about 5 times before Mark S passed away..I miss them -
Ever go to a show and get there early enough to see the openers and they made you a new fan or did you ever go to a show not knowing more than a single song before going then become a fan...Share your favorites I saw.. The Walkmen open up for Firewater Art Brut after reading NME (Funny band) Guster played at my daycamp Band of Horses on a whim at Maxwells because a friend of mine was going Bloc Party at Bowery Ballroom went with a friend David Poe opening for the Jayhawks on the reverse I went to see Jackopierce open for Del Amitri and they blew my socks off..only knew Roll to Me.. AMEX Blue...You get 5% back on Gas, Groceries and Drug Stores and 1.5 back on everything else? Of course this is once you spend $6k a year which isn't hard for me because I use my car for work everyday almost on the road. No Annual fee too...If you don't spend 6K a year you still get 1% on gas and .5% on everything else I think? Customer service is great too!

If you want to feel young do what I did. See Neil Diamond or the Eagles in concert.

I think you have the wrong impression about them. Listen to the Ageatis album and tell me it is hipster music.

Back! Had a fun time! Only had 24 hours or so but did all I could on that hot a humid saturday! Went for Breakfast in Wriglyville (Nookies Tree House...good meal) Walked around Wrigley, Lincoln Park and the zoo, Spent time by cloudgate and the fountain then had some pizza at Pizzano's walked by the Marina Towers , Navy Pier and up Michigan ave to the Watertower and Hancock building. Then went for Dinner at Harry Caray's behind the Marina Towers In between somewhere I had a hot dog and Garrets popcorn...uggh no more crazy eating for awhile! -

remphish1 replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Hi All! Back! Love Milwaukee!!! Unofrtunatley I only had 24 hours but I crammed it in! Went to Miller Park for a game, got a brat and fried cheese curds at The Brat House (got a pic at Maders ), bought cheese at the Wisconsin Cheese Mart. Had dinner atthe Rock Bottom brewery (It was sunday and my first choice was not open!) drove around the shoreline from the Art Museaum to the North Point Lighthouse, Harley Museum and Milwaukee Public Market! Thanks for the previous suggestions Will have to make it back soon! -

Which singers have you seen have the best stage banter..can be from the past too... My favorites include 1. Mark Sandman-Morphine 2. John Flansberg-They Might Be Giants 3. Ryan Miller-Guster 4. Morrissey..everytime he opens his mouth something wacky is coming.. 5. Jeff Tweedy-He has some great zingers... 6. Mike Doughty-Soul Coughing..off the wall stuff 7. Dave Grohl-Foo Fighters 8. Springsteen-Good story teller...sometimes witty 9. Fountains of Wayne Bands I like with not so good stage banter Radiohead, Phish (Trey says at most 2 words to the audience a show!), Son Volt

The first album I ever picked up turns 25 tomorrow..

When I was 7 years old I was at the mall with my grandma....we went into a record store and she said pick up whatever album you want. My dad had a beautiful technics turntable at home so I opted for the vinyl over the cassette. The album I picked up... http://entertainment.time.com/2012/08/29/michael-jackson-bad/?hpt=hp_t3#an-oral-history-of-bad as much as I don't listen to MJ now the album still holds great memories of the trip to the mall with grandma. As time went on my brother drew over the inside of the record with his orange marker and I was mad...still have the album and get a smile o
