  1. No, I've never gone before. But after signing up online and getting a show trivia question right (when they called me back) my wife and I are on a double secret guest list. I think your best bet might be to try for a standby ticket through the instructions here: http://www.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/show_info/tickets/
  2. Me too. I requested tickets online about a month ago and got the good news last week.
  3. Here's the TIME review, I couldn't find People's: Wilco Gets Happy "I should warn you when I'm not well," sings Jeff Tweedy midway through Sky Blue Sky, the sixth studio album by Wilco, the protean band Tweedy has fronted for a decade. Over the years, Tweedy's brooding lyrics--fueled by battles with anxiety and addiction--have often overshadowed the spare beauty of his songwriting. But Sky Blue Sky is bright and affecting, mixing doses of '70s soul on tracks like Side with Seeds and Hate It Here with the sun-drenched guitar rock of Impossibly Germany and What Light, on which Tweedy advises,

    BROOKLYN!

The venue bartender I spoke to said it'd be a good night to work as there'd be about 1000 people attending the show.

    BROOKLYN!

Just got back from Warsaw. The line started forming at 6 am. We got there far too early (3 am) and slept in the car from 4-7. We also drove over to Irving to kill time and there was no one there at 3:30 either. Any afternoon/evening camping stories were simply trying to spoil other people's plans. I would guess that people who got there as late as 12 noon ended up getting tickets (for those at Warsaw at least). There were probably close to 200 people there as we were leaving. I also asked about capacity for this show and the ticket sellers said they were selling 900 tickets total and a ven

    BROOKLYN!

I just drove by Warsaw as well. I think this guy was trying to generate buzz for people to avoid Irving. At about 7:15 there was no one in line yet (at Warsaw), and based on people that called Irving from here, I think it's a 50/50 split for tickets at each venue. That being said, I'm planning to show up at Warsaw sometime in the next 6 or so hours, but I'm not panicking. Dinner, a nap, and we'll take it from there.
  7. I agree. I think it's wonderful that the band openly shares its music through streams, leaks, allowing taping, etc. I also think it's incumbernt upon the band's fans to help keep this model sustainable through our purchases of albums, tickets, and merchandise. It's kind of strange to hear this respect or mutual support being "asked for" though. It's kind of like having a good friend remind you that they did you a nice favor. You're still grateful for what they did and hope you can return the favor, but it's kind of awkward to be told about it.

  11. Warsaw would be nice, as would Prospect Park--or even BAM. Brookly Vegan rumored that (Propsect) last year with no avail though: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2006..._playing_p.html With room in the schedule, though, I think the hopes can remain.
  12. This is obviously part of the reason too: http://tickets.search.ebay.com/wilco_Event...40QQsacatZ16122
  13. There's room in the schedule and there's nothing booked for the days after. My hopes are high.
  14. No luck with the Red Bank site either. As much as I don't love Ticketmaster, at least they can handle the traffic.
  15. Agreed about Wolf Trap. My favorite DC area shed. The food and drink leniency makes for a nicer time.
  16. I got row C center for Red Bank and my wife got 2 for Hammerstein. I've been that close for solo shows, but it'll be nice to see the band this way.
