  1. Home made Mexican soup with hominy. Tortilla chips. Mmmmmm. Schmaltzy!
  2. Safe travel vibes to the Mountain Bed dad and lad. Will the j4s or ESue make this show?
  3. Also: "Blackhaw viburnum is native from Connecticut to Florida and west to Michigan and Texas. Bark from the roots was used by North American Indians to heal stomach, intestinal track, mouth and throat ailments. The Indians made decoctions to alleviate chills and fever and to relieve heart palpitations. Blackhaw berries also seemed to be the choice medicine for ulcers. Thomas Jefferson used this plant at Monticello two centuries ago, and it is among the natives grown there today." Thankee! Yes it is going to be a fine Wilco week.
  4. I could watch this again and again. And have. If you have kids, this is a must see. What a trio of bad guys! Norby: [singing] Mary had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb. Mary had a little lamb her HAIR was white as snow! And every which way that Mary went, the lamb was right behind her. It followed her to work one day, work one day, work one day. It followed her to work one daaaaaaayyy, and Mary lost her job! And then she went to unemployment... Eddie: Knock off the singin' and read him his story book. If you can.
  5. I was thinking about that this morning quite alot. Because... IT'S NEXT WEEKEND!!!@!!!
  6. I hope all the VC boys that are sick feel better soon! Some late season garden news: Blackhaw viburnum berries. Honeysuckle. Miscanthus strictus blooms. There are many sublime fragrance gifts this time of year; second blooms of rose, honeysuckle and nicotiana. Happy Sunday, y'all!
  7. Kansas City is a special town. So many of our beloved local heros are black. In my view, this quickened the healing of racial dis-ease. Buck loved to be out among us. He loved to dance with the ladies. He was a gentleman, he was soft spoken, he was delightful. An angel on earth indeed. He advanced racial harmony in the way that it sticks. Through him, we learned how to trust each other. Baseball is a game. Buck was a marvelous human being, who through that game, was able to change human history. God bless you, Buck.
  8. I apologoze sincerely for my peculiar sense of humor. I have heard that there are some pretty good meds for Tourettes.
  9. Spooky. I just got goose bumps. And Mr. caliber would be correct.
  10. Did I ask the question before? That would be so unlike me. ( )
  11. Yay! By the way, how long is your penis? Will you wear a prosthetic for Halloween?
  12. Happy birthday Jessflick! I just know that you and Mr. Flick are having a terrific day in the beautiful multi-hued hills of the Catskills .
  13. McCaskill? I think she has a good shot at the senate. Polls are showing a pretty close race, (5 or 6 polling points). Bush has been here raising money for his rubber stamp boy, so there is the feeling that the Republicans are spooked. McCaskill has been campaigning in the rural areas, which is where she lost votes in the gubernatorial race...we shall see. Jim Talent is one scary cat, and I hope like hell he is ousted.
  14. I'm quite fond of maple sugar covered almonds. But that's just me.
  15. 15, 16, 17, are borderline years for consent in non-peer sexual relationships, (maybe not legally, but ethically in my book.). I still think that the onus of resposibilty is on the adult, regardless of the gender or willingness of the teenager, to walk away from sexual involvement.
  16. Kansas City might not have mountains and tall waterfalls, but we sure have perfect autumn weather. I'm going out into the garden and fold laundry.
  17. Yeah I thought you told that one time that you were a real guy. I never thought you were retarded. Even for an internet guy.
  18. You're a real guy too, aren't you?
  19. Are you itching for a thundering and smiting?
  20. From the Creutzfeldt-Jakob website: "Opiate drugs can help." You'll be good as new by then.
