  2. Is it wrong that I have cut out the collars and modified the sleeves of all of my Wilco Ts?
  3. My daughter called me from her grandmother's house yesterday to tell me that Marriott used an Andrew Bird song in one of thier commercials. She was pretty jazzed about it. Can this be TRUE???
  4. baab passed away in a horrible snowmobile accident a while back.

  6. Um, I think kidsmoke was checking on that.
  7. I regularly make my own coffee.
  8. I was at one of those games. Say what you want, but that grand slam was mighty purty.

  10. Here's my daddy: Happy Father's day to all you sweet daddys.
  11. Just a terrific show! I can't wait to see these guys after a couple of months of touring this album (hint, hint). First time in the nosebleed for a Wilco show, though Sarah and I managed to pogo on our 12" ledge. My son said we were exactly in sync. :rock So great to see our VC buddies, old and new. It is heartening to hear the shout-outs during Via Chicago from our compadres strategically placed among the audience. Grateful for all of us.
  12. Thank you so much for taking care of this, Wendy! And bethwid, I just hope you can make it early enough to come in and say hi. Otherwise, we mostly look like normal people.
  13. Bethany + 6. Are you making the reservations, Wendy? I'm kind of busy being on vacation.
  14. I think Bethany is coming with her crew. I'll be talking with her tomorrow.
  15. The question is, can I snag this and feed it to my iPod in time to take it on the road with me today? I'll bet I can!
  16. Now Bethany says this is the place to meet up: Nicholson's From the most dining savy of my Cincinnati people: "Jason's sister voted for Nicholoson's- said she has always had great food and service there, and they have ENORMOUS amounts of beer, lol. I think it'd be fine for the kiddos too, that early, just might need resi's if more than 6-8 people." And right across the street from the Aronoff. So, let's let everybody weigh in over the next few days and make a choice. My vote goes to Nicholson's or Rockbottom.
  17. I have seen that movie a half dozen times and have no recollectin of Huey's willie. Couldn'ta been that mule-ish. Edit: He did piss on the dead girl with it...I do remember that part.
  18. So twice five miles of fertile ground With walls and towers were girdled round : And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills, Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree ; And here were forests ancient as the hills, Enfolding sunny spots of greenery. Oh, it would be so fun to see the boys. Sooo excited!
  19. Thanks Bryan! That is very near the Aronoff too. That might be the best place. Here is their website: http://www.rockbottom.com/RockBottomWeb/RB...ocationID=10062 Here are a couple of websites for two other restaurants near the Aronoff that are recommended. Because Bethany and family won't being going to the show but want to meet everyone, a kid friendly place is where we would prefer be for dinner at least. Both of these places are close to the venue, Redfish within a quarter mile and Hofbrauhaus within a mile. German food in southern Ohio is pretty fabulous and Hofbrauhaus also has a lovel
  20. Here's the first part of the transmission: "Ok, DH suggests Hoffbrau house on the Newport side (easy to seat lots of people without reservations, good beer and good german food) or Red Fish on the Cinci side. Good beer, nice atmosphere, tasty cajun style dishes, but not sure how available seating for big parties is. Also suggested Main Street Brewery on the Cinci side, but don't know much about the food." There is also a call in to another consultant right now. I don't know how close these are to the venue until I talk with B's DH. I'll keep you posted...I'm on the run.
  21. Oh sure. I know just what you mean.
