zipp to the top of the list: So much to report this morning. Our full length album is coming out on April 10th in the US and April 9th in most other parts of the world. It is called Boys & Girls. We are going to make our late night tv debut on Conan on February 7th. thanks Conan! We have added 4 dates in March in Milwaukee, Tuscaloosa (with our friends the dexateens and lee bains III & the glory fires), Oxford and Birmingham. There is even more exiting to report (including more dates) but we will save it for a rainy day. - The Alabama Shakes.

http://exclaim.ca/Mu...al_album_stream Ghost Filled discount parkas! the thing is streaming. sad to say that 6 of the songs are on the other provincial albums. Wish Samson was more prolific.

Yeah - can't wait for Friday Night Lights and John Berryman to combine somehow.

i like the 1st more - but they are both great. If you are going Vinyl from You've Changed records, i really urge you to pick any of their other releases and combine shipping. Almost all have Romano content of somekind.

woah - just hearing the Old LA song on the facebook page. Nice Nice, very Nice

Thank you. Gonna try the contact at High Road, but it's a pretty low chance of success. Getting him to cross the border balanced against the number of people who would come out means the costs would be high and the contract low.

Bad Luck - Royal City Bad luck bad luck Came to me without warning Bad luck came with one Horrible flashing eye In the corners of the darkness Bad luck has lingered And now comes forth With a gluttonous mind And you will never know The places that I go to without you You will never ever ever know I've met you in the alley All covered in maggots And I have seen you in the chambers Of the silent sea Bad luck you are a terrible laughing god Bad luck bad luck bad luck bad luck Underneath a blackened sky And you will never know The places that I go to without you You will never ever eve

Didn't get out as much as I wanted. Will rectify this year, but switched how i go to shows. If there are more than 200 people there, I won't be. Last big concert was the National at Massey hall, and it was fun, but I'm done with large venues. 1) Basia Bulat at Foster's Inn Stratford. Look at this. It was a dark room and the girl shines like a beacon. http://youtu.be/SxQXRYBtOQg This place is doing a dinner/concert/room/breakfast concert series that cannot be beat. $75 all in with the Basia show the first one we went to. Food is fine dining and they have McAuslan on tap. You are steps a

Richard Laviollette and the Oil Spills – Yes, I mean it All Harder, was it worth the fight? Quick breath and flickering light Small room on the ocean floor The walls are taking water and the furnace fires on The old days, the leather chair Clock face, sees you waiting there The calm before the storm We get right down to dying the moment we’re born This country, each one of us This land that lies under us This city, this neighborhood Progress is understood Lay down the tracks and roll out wilting guns We fellonized the bodies of the people we took this from Homeland reclamation site Farm

My list: 1) Richard Laviolette and the Oil Spills - All of Your Raw Materials This thing was recorded at the House of Miracles, down the street from my house in 2009. It got a CDR release and then picked up by Steve (ex Constaintines) Lambke and Daniel Romano's You've Changed records last year. Second time in a row where a couple records from You've Changed have made my list. They're replaced 3-gut as the best Canadian indie label ever. The record itself reminds me of the Silver Hearts/NMH/Burning Hell, a fall apart, acoustic boozchestra with a great live show. Except I totally missed al
