Maybe I am confused, but this is a fan forum, no? As a fan, I think it's fun to discuss where the band might go next. That's not dictating where the band goes next or passing judgment on what they've done before. It's just...speculation. I like the Wilcos and I'm looking forward to the next album. That's all.

I think Ryan Adams does a fine job covering that sort of ground.

Dr. Judy: Friend to the stars...and manager as well, I guess.

OK, thanks for playing...

I have been absent from these boards for a while but the new Mavis album got me all wound up for Wilco again. That and Wilco (The Album), that is. I am so loving the new Mavis though that I am hoping it influences the direction of the next Wilco album. I'd love to see a focus on soulful, folky song structures and engineering. I am a bit over 8 minute drones. "You Are Not Alone" is one of the best things I've heard from Jeff in ages and would LOVE to hear a Wilco version of that song and more songs in that vein. What about you? Any guesses or wishes?

Also digging Junky Star. I picked it up at an in-store for another band. That and the new Jacob Dylan, which I am also really digging.

This album has been on mega high rotation in my house. Really hoping it has some influence on the next Wilco album.

Our songs are featured in this clip, which are the final two scenes of the show: http://www.aetv.com/the-cleaner/video/index.jsp?bcpid=1612750123&bclid=30105645001&bctid=30272594001

I'll take any reason for people to like Riviera or to think they like Riviera. That band is still near and dear to my heart.

So do we owe you a bounty?

Thanks, guys. The TV show was out of the blue. I think someone who works on the show is apparently a fan and used one of the songs in placement while editing and the producers liked it. Music Supervisor contacted us and they ended up licensing two songs. We make a few bucks and hopefully some people hear the music. I can't complain. Beltman, thanks for caring enough to post this. I am in Portland now and don't get back to your neck of the woods often but if this sparks a reunion tour you can bet you'll be among the first to know.

Does anyone know if Wilco, their management, or label have changed the taping and sharing policy for the band's live performances? GLONO received a take down notice from Nonesuch/Warner Bros. See: Unreleased Wilco - I Wish I Were Ian Dury They used to have an open taping/sharing policy on their website, but it's now gone and then we get this notice. UPDATE: Looks like Muzzle of Bees got notice too, for different songs.

I have AM and it is most certainly not 180 gram.

Hi. Haven't been by in a long time. Didn't (necessarily) mean to rouse any rabbles, but it's a fun discussion.

I have AM on RED vinyl! Look at me! I'm actually only missing Summerteeth so if anyone has a line on a good price, let me know.

Some of you guys should lighten up. Didn't #21 tip you off that this might be a bit tongue-in-cheek? Nobody actually expects Jay to rejoin Wilco.

My take on GLONO May be of particular interest to anyone who was at the taping of the Wilco shows that made it on the DVD. Hint: references a song that was much discussed on these very boards and heard before Wilco's set.
