Hmmm... I'm wearing it, but I'm not feeling it... So, I'll admit to buying the NME yesterday, so I'm listening to their free CD > The Best New Bands from the Reading and Leeds festival...

I'm not sure I can get past the ghey vocals to be honest... the music is nice, but it just sounds so camp!

Anywhere! Transistor Radio was my starting point, then the Transfiguration of St. Vincent and the new one for sure... Duets for Guitars is really nice, but very stripped back. Transfiguration is worth getting for his version of Bowie's "Let's Dance".

I third "Echoes" by Floyd and second "The Cedar Room" by Doves (which was the song that initially got me into those guys). I also want to recommend "Pass The Hatchet" from the new Yo La Tengo album - it's f ing great!

Got my tickets to see these guys in London in November... added bonus is that Beirut are supporting!

Best thing about reviewing the single was when I put it into iTunes and it came up as "Children's Music"... I've not laughed so much in months!

Hmmm... never thought about it before, I just thought that most rock acts did it "live"... fair enough for pop acts where's there's minimal instrumentation anyway... What's the tell tale signs then?
