Full report?? I'd love to catch World Party but seems like he's sticking to the states for the time being...

I like The Sadies - think I'll check this out... what's Steve Albini doing on there though? They don't initially seem like a band he'd get involved with?

I AM GOING TO DUBLIN AND EDINBURGH!
Welsh Rich replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I've not been to Edinburgh myself, but Dublin I have and, in fact, I'm off there for a wedding next week. Got to go to the Guiness factory and Jamesons brewery in Dublin and experience the Temple Bar area after dark - pubs aplenty with an amazing atmosphere and impromptu music performances... Just remember that Dublin is quite an expensive city, so save your Euros! -
Oh yeah, but great to listen to loud, that's what I've found So me and pitchfork agree... oh dear, perhaps I AM wrong

It's really working it's way into my head... love the prog rock angle and Meloy has really excelled himself here, the songs are great and not a chimbley sweep in sight!

For the record I have a hangover the size of a small family house....

Girls Aloud I've had a shower this morning, but after watching that I think I need another one... Paris can't even begin to match their genius...

Got this for my birthday - amazing concert and I was there! Fantastic DVD; the extras are worth getting it for alone...
-
I don't own many jazz records, but I'd second the recommendations of Miles Davis > Kind of Blue and John Coltrane > Love Supreme. Both amazing records.

Cheers - might have to check out the prequel then!

Playing this in full again... it IS great... I agree with the Yes bits too, but I'm all for Prog-rock Those new tracks that weren't right on the first leak are great...

Not sure what to make of the remake... really enjoyed the original, thought it was a fantastic film. Did anyone see the sequels?? They made another 2 if I remember correctly.

I did the same too... though I started with "And then nothing..." Wasn't all that keen on Summer Sun myself, but put Prisoners Of Love on the other day and it is a great cross-section of their stuff.
