Just finished that... it ain't bad... some corking tracks, but not quite as consistent as their debut.

I've seen him three times now and he's never disappointed... a great show man and had plenty of tunes to play. Glad you had a good time Louie.
-
Boxer is brilliant - currently standing top of my albums of the year too... everytime I go back to it I hear another lyric or another hook I hadn't heard before. Genius.
-
First listen through the album and I think it's great... the production is crystal clear and there's plenty going on...
-
It's over at Oink... but I had, 2 copies, on promo... bonus tracks are ok... just a heck of a lot of material, even if the vast majority of it is under 2 minutes.

I actually liked Medulla! But there we go... I think that I was just expecting a lot more from it. Earth Intruders is good though.

I, unfortunately, picked up the mag this week and just finished reading it. Certainly the best thing in Uncut this month... Liked the dig at Babyshambles, a well deserved one at that, and it's nice that Tweedy just wanted to record an album he wanted to record. Who can blame him for that.

As for the new Bjork I think it's very over-rated and doesn't touch any of her previous material, for me at least. A big disappointment.

Ahhh - its been out over here for a while, it's on my "To Read" pile! The film is on at one of the smaller, local arts cinemas next week, I'm going to try and see it. They're also showing the Scott Walker "30th Century Man" as well, so should be good if I can find some time!

I got, for christmas, a hefty tomb of a Joe Strummer biography... This one in fact: Not got round to reading it yet, but looked pretty comprehensive...
-
From the Guardian, interview with Julien Temple, the director of a new documentary about Joe Strummer.
-
It's great fun, nothing ground breaking, but an enjoyable romp.
-
The Abbey Road stuff was ok - most of the artists were shite though like bloody Jamariquaaaalyyyferrari fella and Snooze Patrol. Shame as I liked the idea of it and the filming and sound was nice.
-
52 tracks on the reissue... bloody hell...
-
I remember that 2002 appearence... the first time I'd even see Wilco "live"... amazing stuff.

It is out there as a leak I think, I've had a copy through on promo and it's good, I like it. Bit more melodic and structured than the usual Boris stuff. This morning:
