The debut record is good, I still listen to it a lot and I agree with you, Lola Stars and Stripes is a great, great track. The new one isn't very good and it's just odd because it doesn't sound like The Stills - surely they would have been better off starting with a new band for all the changes in personnel.

Now THAT sounds awesome... I wonder if it's out there on the internets anywhere... -
Yeah, he's not best impressed with the both of them... I read an interview with him recently, can't find where, and he completely laid into them for doing this too.

Hmmm... not sold on the Bjork album...

Happy Birthday! Have a good one!

Sorry for the number of threads, but some interesting bits and pieces around today... Legendary rock producer and contemporary Joe Boyd remembers the impact Pink Floyd's Syd Barrett made in 1966.

Their 20-date tour of the UK has sold out... amazingly. Interview with Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler today...

Quite an interesting interview with Dolores O'Riordan (ex-Cranberries) in today's paper...

I thought it was ok, I much preferred Shaun of The Dead though, it was a bit more consistent. Though the bit were Simon Pegg flying kicks the old woman had me in stitches and I might have let out a little bit of wee... Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what they'll do next!

I finally got round to listening to this yesterday and was amazed by it. Her voice is great and the songs are really varied.

Yeah, they're really good... the most recent album I had through on promo but it kinda driffted out of focus, there wasn't much of a push on it in the end. This was the previous album: And, in my opinion, it's better than the latest one...

Blimey, he's got Gondry to direct his new video... this could be interesting, though that track he had streaming on his website didn't grab me as much as the stuff off Chaos...

I love the album cover... Gimmie Fiction wasn't as good as Kill The Moonlight, but I've not actually heard their early stuff, so perhaps I should investigate... they were great when I saw them last year live too, not a band that come to the UK very often.
