Them and the rest of the league.

NL WC standings

LA Dodgers --

Cincinnati 1.5

San Francisco 1.5

Colorado 1.5

Arizona 3.0

Milwaukee 3.0

Houston 3.5

Philadelphia 5.5

Atlanta 6.5

Florida 7.0

Washington 9.0

Chi Cubs 12.0

Pittsburgh 17.0

Realistically, only the last three teams are out of it.

Well, it's complicated, because, even with teams being not that far back a lot of things have to happen to go past a bunch of teams. Keep in mind that a lot of these teams play each other frequently--someone's got to win those games. When all those teams out west play each other you can't make up ground on all of them.

They won't. Not this year. Too big a whole in centerfield for us to really make a run at it.

Next year though, watch out.

Also, as you all have noticed, I have no problem referring to us and we when talking about the Marlins or any team. The way I see it, when I go to my 20 games a year, and give my 200 dollars a year or so in tickets (not to mention concessions, and merchandise), I feel I can say I'm a part of the team.

Of course, I suppose it would get annoying if an announcer did it.

I love old school uniforms. Those Mariners ones are pretty awesome. I've got my old school Marlins hat that I wear, although my friends mocked me because of the colors...

We'd probably be here, just not quite as enthusiastic.

Actually, it looks like those are old Seattle Pilots uniforms, so not Mariners uniforms at all, as the Pilots became the Milwaukee Brewers. Interesting that they did that.

We've used the uniforms for an old single a team that was based in Miami. I think they were the manatees or something.

Yeah, I guess the Marlins haven't been around long enough to really have throwbacks to wear. The Mariners haven't been around as long as the Tigers, but their uniforms have changed enough over the years that they could have gone with some old school Mariner uniforms, but I'm sort of glad they didn't. Those Pilot uniforms are cool.

Earlier this year I saw the Devil Rays wearing throwbacks of some minor league team from Tampa that is actually now the St. Petersburg Yankees. Thought it was weird that they were in essence wearing Yankees uniforms.
