cryptique Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 I wanted so badly to go see one of those Forever Changes shows that Love played a few years back, and just couldn't get to one. That album had a major effect on me back in college, and it's still a favorite to this day. Didn't he have leukemia? I thought I remembered reading that somewhere. A towering talent. Wow, I remember catching them in Crewe in 2002 (I think) and my friend couldn't make it to the show (he was a huge fan) I was pretty pissed but made my way to the front and rang my friend up. Arthur spoke to him on the phone for a few minutes MID-SET! He handed me back the handset and said "Man... you got a cool cat right there"... I shook his hand and the show went on after some applause. My friend said it was the biggest honour of his life. I'll be raising a glass to the great man tonight - Forever Changes as my soundtrack. Analogman Posted August 5, 2006 Share Posted August 5, 2006 Forever Changes was their YFH and Petsounds rolled into one. Great liner notes in the re-master I have. I am still trying to get my hands on the ones that came after - or at least Four Sail and one other one. I had never heard that album until not to long ago.
