Some of my favorite hip-hop albums, mainly representing the Twin Cities scene:

Atmosphere- Seven's Travels

Heiruspecs - Tiger Dancing

Brother Ali - Champion

Atmosphere - Can't you see how much fun we are having?

Ozomatli - Ozomatli

Jurassic 5 - Power in Numbers

dj BC - Meet the Beastles

DJ Danger Mouse - The Grey Album

Beastie Boys - Pauls Boutique

I would recomend Atmospshere and Heiruspecs highly... esp. if you can catch a live show, its an experience.

I'll add the Kleptones Yoshimi Battles The Hip Hop Robots. That may be the best mashup I've heard.

Good call. I put the Do You Realize?/Streets mash-up on the last mix I made for my brother.

I can't stop...

The interview prior was vintage 'let's get on the serious tip for a minute' Arsenio and a little shoutout to Quincy Jones 'Q's Juke Joint' album that my Dad had on the car stereo non-stop for like 6 motnhs straight. Ha!

Awww hell, Sir S. I'll see your Tribe on Yo! w/ this...

Tribe w/ the entire 'Scenario' posse on Arsenio

and it ain't rap, but...

RHCP on Arsenio

finally, it ain't the Arsenio Hall show, but his cameo in this Chapelle skit was classic...

'HOW COME YOU DIDN'T TELL ME HOW GOOD THE CHEESE WAS MOTHERFUCKER?!

I'm totally doing the Arsenio fist pump right now at my desk. Woof.

Just tell 'im: 'step off, i'm doin' the hump.' hopefully, he'll respond w/: 'you look like MC Hammer on crack, Pee'. and, then, you'll both laugh.

:lol :lol :lol

In my car I do as much as I can of the Humpty Dance. I even do the arm waves and pelvic thrust the back up guys in the video do during that horn section preceding "Oh, do me (it?) baby".

A few years ago our friend had been keeping the new cover song his punk band was unveiling under wraps. He was in the back seat of our car one night and the Humpty Dance came on. He recited the whole thing, as did I. But with me facing forward he didn't know I was doing it. A few days later I asked again what this mysterious cover song was and he said "I gave you a HUGE clue in your car the other night!" I said "what do you mean?" and he said "I've spent weeks learning all the words to the Humpty Dance!!!" and I said "you had to study them??? I sang along to the entire song too and I didn't learn the lyrics for homework last week!" He was shocked that I knew the words and I was shocked that he didn't.

He would know the words to the Humpty Dance.

Just found another gem:

Dana Dane - This Be The Def Beat

Checkout the youtube user "shockg". He's got some fantastic shit I'm weeding through. I wonder if it might actually be Shock G. It's not like he's got much going on right now.

Cool. i'm in a conference room right now in a meeting, but will check it after.
