Raconteurs New Year's Eve

The Raconteurs have just confirmed they will be ringing in the New Year

at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. They will be performing

December 30th and 31st and we are offering a limited number of tickets

during a pre-sale via the website starting tomorrow, October 10th at 12

pm CST. If you miss out on the pre-sale tickets, the official on sale

for these dates will be Saturday, October 14th at 10 am CST via

Ticketmaster.

well i hardly doubt that, they played 16 when i saw them, but still...

 

there better be another pretty large opening act for that money... The White Stripes & Lips 2 or 3 years ago at the Aragon on NYE was $75, a bit more justifiable

Kyle, where did you find out they're $80? There's gotta be another band on the bill that night...

the 30th show is $37.50 (still pretty high for a band with one album, i don't care how famous one of it's members is ;))

This just in:

 

The Features will be opening for The Raconteurs on December 30th and 31st at the Riviera Theater in Chicago. Tickets will go onsale for this guaranteed sell-out this Saturday (October 14th) at 10am CST.

 

On December 30th, they are slated to play at 8pm for an ALL AGES show. The cost for this show is $36 + fees.

 

On December 31st, they are slated to play at 10pm for an 18+ show. The cost for this New Year's Eve show is $79 + fees.

that sorta makes me wonder... i know TWS fans are pretty hardcore and they'd have no prob filling up the Riv at $80 on NYE regardless of opener, but doesn't seem to me like the Raconteurs have that hardcore of following yet, even including the hardcore TWS fans who eat up anything Jack does. don't see the NYE show selling out all that fast, especially w/ the exact same show over half the price the night before.
