KNevitt
I feel like the lyrics on this album are fantastic, among Jeff's best, so I figure if we put our heads and ears together we can bust these out in no time. I'll begin. I started with what is my favorite song thus far and after figuring the lyrics out I love it even more. Edited after going over Bobbob's version Side With the Seeds the tired stoplightwhere the blacktop cracksweeds pop through dark green enough to be blue when the mysteries we believe in aren

socbret
"Hate It Here"I try to stay busyI do the dishes, I mow the lawnI try to keep myself occupiedEven though I know your not coming home I try to keep the house nice and neatI make my bed, I change the sheetsI even learned how to use the washing machineBut keeping things cleanDoesn't change anything What am I gonna do when I run out of shirts to fold? What am I gonna do when I run out of lawn to mow? What am I gonna do if you never come home?Tell me, oh what am I gonna do? I hate itI hate it hereWhen you're gone I caught myself thinkingI caught myself thinking once againHave to try to keep my mind out of thisTry not to pretend I'll check the phoneI'll check the mailI'll check the phone again, I'll call your momBut she says your not there And I should take careBut I hate it hereWhen you're gone I hate itI hate it hereWhen you're gone I try to stay busyI take out, I sweep the floorI try to keep myself occupiedCause I know you don't live here anymore

KNevitt
I hear this part differnt: You had: the tired stoplightwhere the blacktop cracksweeds POP through dark green enough to be blue I thought it was: the tired stoplightwhere the blacktop cracksWeeds SPARK through dark green enough to be blue (maybe I'm wrong) It is kind of hard to hear some of the lyrics on this one. pop made sense to me because of blacktop cracks, but who knows. We will know for sure in May.
TheMaker
I'm really not hearing the first line as "The tired stoplight." If you listen to the very end of it, there's an unmistakable "k" sound. "Ties top black?" That doesn't make sense, I don't think, but it's what I'm hearing.

KNevitt
I hear "Tires tar black" I had Tires tie black, which makes no sense, originally, but after seeing another version changed it to tired stoplight. But after listening some more I have to say that tires tar black sounds correct. Thank you.
H to the ickle
Yeah, I already posted in the other thread that I hear "Tires tar black" as well. It makes a little more sense IMO.
