blindgonzo
So, my brother has been making me some mixes for the last couple of months, and I love every one of them so I thought I'd share them with everyone. So far, there are 5 mixes, and one 'imaginarey soundtrack'. Here's the tracklisting for Mix #1: 1. Immune- Acoustic Memories2. Ramona Cordova- Givers' Reply3. Dirty Three (featuring Chan Marshal)- Great Waves4. Mia Doi Todd- Growing Pains5. The Gentleman Losers- Laureline6. Sol Seppy- 1 27. Ramona Cordova- Chessers8. My Architects- Picture9. Ileios- Dragonfly Across An Ancient Sky10. Beirut- Mount Wroclai (Idle Days)11. Lily Allen- Little Things12. Frog Eyes- The Fence Feels Its Post13. Guillemots- If The World Ends14. Lali Puna- Scary World Theory15. Ramona Cordova- Hot and Heavy Harmony16. Sol Seppy- Slo Fuzz17. Mi and L'an- Christmas Soul18. I Like Trains- The Accident19. Beirut- After The Curtain If I've messed up the spelling on a couple of the artists, well, I'll blame my brother for that one. His writing looks like its elvish or something. I find this mix to be very mellow and kind of sad. I like listening to when I'm falling asleep. If anyone wants a copy, I could send it your way...eventually. More to come... yermom
My honey is also named Ryan and he makes super mixes and imaginary soundtracks as well! Maybe there is something to naming your kids Ryan. Ryan is to mix tape as Loretta* is to awesome. They just go hand in hand. *Oh! What a coincidence! That just happens to be my name!(Now who is going to challenge me on which of us is the best at being awesome?)(I think it'll probably be a draw. This board just permeates awesome.) rwrkb
Let's hear it. i'll pull it up the next time i turn on my desktop. i don't have it on my laptop. the acknowledgements section of my thesis also had a list of every album i listened to while writing it.
peqger
What is/was your thesis novel, if I may ask?
rwrkb
What is/was your thesis novel, if I may ask? well i'm still working on it, but the first chapter was submitted as my undergrad thesis. it's titled The Adventures of Risk Adams and it's a story about a down and out comic book artist who has disassociated himself with real people and begun living more within his characters after the death of his girlfriend. it's told through two first person narrators: the main character, Risk and his guardian angel. btw, blindgonzo, didn't mean to steal any thunder in your thread.
