williemood
I thought for awhile this song was about my marriages. My first wife was German, ok 1/2 German, and my second wife is Vietnamese, ok not quite Japanese, but close. Whatever the case, I find myself losing time in Impossible Germany. Is that bad? Thank god it transitions into Sky Blue Sky, and I'm left a way out. How did we ever live in an age without the internet and pre-releases?

bjorn_skurj
That's OK. When South Park first came out, I thought it was about my elementary school (North Park) and that I was the model for Cartman. True story.
bedbug
my second wife is Vietnamese, ok not quite Japanese, but close. I bet she "loves" it when you say that!
pillowy star
This is one of the days where I just got up but think I'd have stayed in bed. I think.
AFlyOnTheWall of the LOFT
I think Impossible Germany is about WWII and how we should learn from our past. I love how it leads into a song that reminds me of someone walking through his home town post-war (SBS). PS. Damn this is a great cd. Addicted from day 1.

williemood
I bet she "loves" it when you say that! And you think I told her this? I may be bad at Geography but I'm not crazy.
Chris_H_2
I love how it leads into a song that reminds me of someone walking through his home town post-war (SBS). You and I think alike. I thought it was about refugees from Hurricane Katrina leaving New Orleans (references to devastation, bands playing (like at NO funerals)) (if not for the fact that it was written before).
